The only reason Mexican cartels became as powerful as they are is because the Mexican government and law enforcement are hopelessly incompetent. Never in a million years would they thrive in the USA the way they do in Mexico.
They have a lot of power here too, and not just in the prisons. They along with South Americans are the biggest in the drug business in the USA. From illegal weed to heroin, and now Fentanyl. our law enforcement is not so competent. When they are, the extreme leftists get involved and stop them.
