Known drug criminal Mink K. extradited to the Netherlands
Top criminal Mink K., together with his son-in-law Najim Z., has been extradited from Lebanon to the Netherlands. The two were picked up on Saturday by a defense aircraft and transferred to the Netherlands under the supervision of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. Mink K. was arrested March 31 in Beirut for large-scale drug trafficking from South America to the Netherlands. An enormous arsenal of weapons was also found.

Today, the Amsterdam criminal and his son-in-law will be brought before the examining magistrate in Rotterdam, who will decide on their remand, confirms his lawyer Mark Teurlings.

The Public Prosecution Service suspects both men of involvement in large-scale international drug trafficking. Based on intercepted PGP messages from cracked crypto communications, the Public Prosecution Service believes that the men are involved in transporting hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from South America to the Netherlands. They are associated with consignments of 750 and 840 kilos of cocaine intercepted in the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam.
