Raffaele Ganci, boss of the Noce district of Palermo, considered a trusted man by Totò Riina, died at the age of 90 and was a member of the so-called "provincial commission" of Cosa Nostra.

Successor of Totò Scaglione known as the Boxeur - killed on the initiative of Don Raffaele in 1982 - Ganci was involved in construction and the meat trade: he was believed to be a loyalist of Totò Riina, to whom he provided assistance during his inaction, interrupted on January 15, 1993 immediately after leaving the residence in via Bernini where he lived with his family. An area, that, under the control of the families of Uditore-Passo di Rigano and the neighboring area of ??Noce.

One of the many life sentences to which he was sentenced was that for the murder of the prefect of Palermo, Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa. Among other things, the Ganci family ran a butcher's shop in Via Lo Jacono, in Palermo. He was arrested on 10 June 1993, in Terrasini, after 5 years of inaction, together with his sons Nunzio and Calogero and his son-in-law Francesco Paolo Anzelmo. He died in Milan while he was serving several life sentences under a hard prison regime (Article 41 bis).
