Tour de force performance from Mickey Rourke. Eminently watchable throughout with a climax that sticks the landing.

Very bleak cinematography with characterization to match but it's unerring in its authentic portrayal of the rigours of the world the eponymous character inhabits.

I already feel like a second viewing.

I would repeat watch just 2 look @ Marisa Tomei in the buff..yummy.
