The plot thickens! December and January are the coldest months in Lake Tahoe. Temps range from a low of 18 to a high of 37 with 14 days of snow in December. Doubtful if the people for the most part would be dressed so lightly. Also, there was a lack of any Christmas decorations anywhere. Is there any clues or documentation (timeline) of when Michael did all the travelling? Seems to be a lot of travelling in the space of one month or less. Especially in 1958 when jet travel really didn't take off that much, (Pun intended). I tend to think that the wearing of mink coats/stoles in warm climates was a way for females to show off their wealth. Down here in Florida in the Old Days. The women would wear their minks even for breakfast in Wolfies.

I love my Chrysler and tuna fish sandwiches.
