The Dutchman Herman X. has been sentenced by the court in Koblenz to five years and nine months in prison for participating in a criminal organization. In an old five-storey NATO bunker below the village of Traben-Trarbach, the Dutchman operated servers with which numerous criminal activities were carried out. For example, the servers hosted websites of marketplaces on the dark web where weapons and drugs were sold. Also, the bunker was home to spam servers and cyber attacks.

X.'s 35-year-old son has also been sentenced to four years and three months in prison. Two other Dutch citizens, and four others, received reduced prison sentences for their contribution to the hosting center. X. had taken over the bunker in Traben-Trarbach from the German state.

In September 2019 , 650 German officials pulled the plug on the bunker and arrested a series of suspects.

Herman Xennt is a close associate of notorious Irish boss George 'the Penguin' Mitchell.
