The former president of the council of Favara (Agrigento), Salvatore Lupo , was killed with two shots pistol while he was in a bar in Via IV Novembre. Lupo is an entrepreneur in the residential sector for the elderly. On the spot are the carabinieri who are listening to witnesses.
Lupo, 45, was arrested in 2017, with his wife, in the "Broken wages" operation. The investigation had revealed that the employees of the "Suami Social Cooperative - Onlus" were first credited to their current account with the monthly payments and then, with ATM cards in the name of the same employees, the sole administrator of the coop, Lupo, would have withdrawn - according to the indictment - half of the salaries. According to the investigation, these "forced" withdrawals of money would have affected over 20 employees.
According to the first reconstructions Salvatore Lupo would have arrived in via IV Novembre, in the heart of Favara, with his Porsche Macan. He walked into the Snack American Bar and asked to go to the bathroom. He was killed, under the eyes of the bartender, who is in shock, as soon as he left. Only one assassin who would have acted - according to the earliest indiscretions - with his face uncovered. At least two gunshots have reached him. On the spot, the carabinieri of the tenence and of the company command of Agrigento are operating . In these minutes, the findings are carried out but we are also trying to listen to possible witnesses.
