Mafia in Castellammare del Golfo, asked for two years for the mayor Rizzo

The anti-mafia prosecutors of the Palermo Prosecutor's Office, deputy prosecutor Paolo Guido, prosecutors Gianluca De Leo and Francesca Dessì, at the end of the indictment, before the Gup of the Palermo Court, judge Annalisa Tesoriere, asked for a two-year sentence for the mayor of Castellammare del Golfo, Nicolò Rizzo, accused of aiding and abetting with the aggravating circumstance of having facilitated Cosa Nostra.

The request concerns a total of eleven people accused with the abbreviated procedure, in the anti-mafia investigation called "Cutrara", carried out in June last year by the carabinieri of Trapani and which involved the area of ​​Castellammare del Golfo.

Overall, more than one hundred years of prison sentences were sought . At the end of the indictment, the Prosecutor asked: 6 years for Diego Angileri; 4 years and 6 months for Francesco Di Bono (former president of the municipal council of Trapani); 12 years for Camillo Domingo; 10 years and 8 months for Daniele La Sala; 20 years for Salvatore Mercadante; 8 years and 10 months for Gaspare Maurizio Mulè; 20 years for Antonino Sabella; 10 years for Francesco Stabile; 12 years for Carlo Valenti; 6 years and 8 months for Francesco Virga and 2 years for the mayor of Castellammare del Golfo Nicolò Rizzo.
