127 kilos of Dutch ecstasy among baby milk in Vietnam

The police in Vietnam intercepted 127 kilos of ecstasy on Thursday that was en route from the Netherlands and Germany to the Asian country. The drugs were hidden in packages of milk and food. Vietnamese media report that a total of 16 suspects have been arrested.

The suspects used false documents to transport the goods. The drug organization also used false names and addresses to deliver and receive the drugs.

At the beginning of April, the Vietnamese investigative services received tips about a drug line and the transport of large quantities of drugs from Europe to Vietnam via air traffic. A 30-year-old man from the Vietnamese city of Hai Duong was arrested during the investigation. He already had a substantial criminal record.

At the same time, Hanoi Customs intercepted 36 parcels totaling more than 400 kilos from Amsterdam at Noi Bai airport. Drugs were hidden in 13 packages. The packages had different addresses in Vietnam.
