Confiscation of assets for one hundred million euros from Calcedonio Di Giovanni , an entrepreneur from Monreale. The decision is by the Court of Appeal of Palermo which confirmed what was decided by the court of Trapani in 2016 on the proposal of the director of Dia.

Di Giovanni, from the early seventies, would be linked to the clans of the district of Mazara del Vallo for which he laundered dirty money and had built a tourist complex on the coast of Campobello di Mazara. In more recent years, the man has had access to significant national and EU public funding, also involving the interests of the Mafiosi of Castelvetrano in his projects.
