A criminal career that began when he was just 21 years old and was considered to be the head of the Rossano clan. For three years, before being captured in 2010 in Bologna, he was a fugitive and was included among the 100 most dangerous fugitives in Italy.

After ten years of hard prison he decided to collaborate and speak with the Dda of Catanzaro, led by Nicola Gratteri. A very recent collaboration during which Acri made statements on serious bloody events that saw him as a protagonist.
