Sexual violence against minors, son of a Mafia boss from Campobello di Mazara arrested
In handcuffs tonight Vincenzo Spezia, 58 years old from Campobello di Mazara. The man was stopped by the investigators of the Ros on charges of sexual assault on two minors.
It is a story that emerged as part of the investigation into the faithful of the red primrose of Castelvetrano Matteo Messina Denaro. The Ros had closed the circle around Vincenzo Spezia, son of Nunzio, the historic boss of Campobello who died in 2009. Vincenzo Spezia had returned to freedom in 2019, after having served a sentence for mafia association and drug trafficking. In the 1990s, he was also accused of murder, at the time he managed to flee to Venezuela.
A few weeks ago, ROS investigators intercepted Vincenzo Spezia's strange movements. The alert has risen but this time it was not about a summit or the exchange of a pizza. In fact, other horrors even more serious and involving two children have emerged. When the first abuses of minors emerged, the carabinieri and the prosecutor's office immediately intervened with an emergency measure.
Now, Spezia is locked up in the prison of Trapani. This story, on the profile of the protection of children, will also be dealt with by the attorney regent of the prosecutor's office for minors of Palermo, Massimo Russo, the magistrate who in the 1990s investigated Spezia, arriving at his capture in Venezuela.
