Zona Espansione Nord, also known as ZEN or San Filippo Neri, is an economically deprived neighborhood on the northern outskirts of Palermo, Sicily. It is located in the municipality of VII and has about 16,000 inhabitants. In a feud in Zen between the Maranzano family and the Colombo's Giuseppe Colombo and Antonino Colombo , father and son , were injured in an ambush by a five men 'commando'. Police arrested Letterio Maranzano , 35 years , and Pietro Maranzano , 22. Of the two, the eldest, Letterio , is not new to the police, close to the Zen mafia families and already burdened by precedents, among others, for criminal association of a mafia type.
