On Wednesday, Customs found more than 4,000 kilos of cocaine in the port of Rotterdam during an inspection. The cocaine was divided into 4,425 packages. The street value of this party is more than 300 million euros, ‘the Public Prosecution Service (OM) reported on Thursday.

The narcotics were hidden in a container from Ecuador that arrived in Antwerp on March 16. The container was intended for a fruit company in Rotterdam.

The HARC team, a partnership of Customs, FIOD, seaport police and the Public Prosecution Service in Rotterdam is investigating the case further. The drugs have since been destroyed.
