That’s the life of the criminal world, some times you hit and some time you get hit.
Since the 90s, in North America, crime groups are less scared of the mob. They do respect them, because they are big earners, they have alot of contacts and are professional. But street wise, they are not feared lime they used to be.
Crime groups in the States haven't feared the mob so much as respect per say. Generally if your not operating in their sphere of influence than their reputation is meaningless. I think people often embellish the LCN as a top tier syndicate nationally instead looking at them locally.
