The police have established the identity of the murdered man who was found at the Zeeuwse Oesterdam. It is 50-year-old Jose Francisco Velasquez Castillo. Before his liquidation, the man stayed for some time under the false identity of a man from Venezuela in Belgium and the Netherlands, including in the house of the Dutch former drug boss John Heijnen in Sint Willebrord.

The body was found on October 17, 2020 at the Oesterdam in Tholen. The police received tips as a result of, among other things, a broadcast in Opsporing Verzocht. Jose Velasquez Castillo from Colombia was also called “Paco” according to the police. He was killed by violence and his body was then left at the Oesterdam. Now that his identity has been established, his body will be handed over to the family in Colombia.

The investigation into the murder is being continued by a large-scale investigation team of at least twenty detectives.

John Heijnen (63) from Sint Willebrord responded after the photo of the victim was on television. Heijnen says that Velasquez had stayed with him for seven months. Heijnen handed over a suitcase with the victim's clothing and personal items to the police, including his Colombian passport and items he had kept.

John H. is known for being the leader of the York gang, according to police and judicial authorities. That was a large internationally branched drug organization that distributed Brabant ecstasy pills, hash and coke. On October 11, 1999, 44 suspects were arrested, including John H. Police found numerous types of drugs and a complete arsenal of weapons.

Their contact Eddie S., aka The Nose, lived in Amsterdam. This Israeli businessman traded the ecstasy pills in the US and Israel. In Israel, police deployed an undercover agent to expose the gang. It was big news there when Operation Octopus led to the arrest of the Middle East branch. Eddie S. owns various buildings in the capital
