Look for the yanks to bounce back a little after the rays series.

The Yankees get the Twins in the first round and the winner of the A's/Rays plays Houston. As much as I wanted home field advantage throughout the playoffs, I'm glad to not be facing Oakland or Tampa. Those are tough teams and I think the Yankees might have the "easiest" team with Minnesota, as they've had their number in recent years.

I think the wild card game will be fun to watch. Can either wild card team upset the Astros though?

I think Oakland has a better shot to upset them personally. For the NL, the Nats should make easy work of the Brewers. Can't wait for Friday to see my Yankees play (still no start time though).

Heading in to the game I was picking the Nats over the Brewers but in the top of the 3rd, the Brewers have a 3 run lead

I think I am going with Tampa. Last night’s game was the perfect example of why baseball is so great. You can get your ass kicked for most of the game but that one inning can win you the game.

I'm 1-1 after the wild card games. Here's my predictions for the divisional series: Yankees over Twins, Astros over Rays, LA over Washington, and Atlanta over St. Louis.

I have been waiting impatiently. This is what we have been waiting for. I wish I could be at the stadium for this game.

Terrific start for the yanks. I hope their bats keep doing this. Paxton has looked better but for most of his outing looked solid. Stanton is going to be huge for us this postseason. Looked poised at the plate.

Glad we got the win last night. Paxton started off a little shaky but settled down and didn't let the early deficient get to him. I think the first 3 times Stanton came to the plate with runners in scoring position and didn't push one of them across. Granted he took 2 walks during those appearances, so I'd rather have the walks than strikeouts but he's gonna get those runners in.

Glad the Yanks got the win again last night and heading to Minnesota to (hopefully) close it out tomorrow night!

If the yanks lose to the Astros again then the fans will be sick to their stomachs. We’ve spoken about that before. Looks like the Rays got a game though.

I won't lie, I'd rather play the Rays (even though I want revenge against the Astros). Just think it'll be funnier if Tampa beats Houston rather than New York

It would be very funny. So many people have written the Rays off. Not anymore. Our Yanks are getting some rest in between the ALDS and ALCS.

The rays have a real shot here. I think if they can get to Cole early they’re going to win. I have them winning tonight.

The Dodgers loss must hurt. Clayton Kershaw can only learn from this. They’ll be back next year though, I think we can bet on that.

I agree with you and that'll be key to the Rays winning tonight: get to Cole early, take the crowd out of it, and put the pressure on Houston. Unfortunately, I'm calling Cole and the Astros tonight (but REALLY hoping Tampa can upset them!).




LA will be back due to their weak division and they have a good team. They just choke year after year in the playoffs.

I'm surprised by that beat down the Cards gave the Braves (and I'm surprised the Nats pulled it out on the road in LA). Being a Yankee fan, I have very little interest in the National League but I might actually catch some of the Cards/Nats series (it's the NLCS I wanted).

This ALCS will be very competitive. I think the Yankees have to steal some runs from the Astros great starting pitching.

This is basically the World Series. Good thing is I don't think the Yankees should have to face Verlander or Cole in Games 1 or 2. We'll probably face Greinke in Game 1 and they can either throw Verlander out there again on short rest for Game 2 or someone else like Miley. Either way, the pitching matchups should be in our favor since Tampa pushed Houston to 5 games. But, just like in 2017, the Yankees are going to have to win one in Houston to advance. Hopefully they can take Game 1 or 2 and finish it in New York by Game 5. Either way, I want revenge and I'll be watching!
