Deja Vu was great nightclub.

It had many lives before it was that ....and that was its end give or take a couple leaces that lasted a year then t was gone .

Deja Vu was well before my time. I believe there’s a parking garage there now where the club used to be.

MAYS LANDING - The son of convicted mob boss Nicodemo Scarfo has been indicted on a variety of charges, including aggravated assault, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey S. Blitz said Thursday.

Nicodemo Scarfo Jr., 31, of the first block of North Georgia Avenue, Atlantic City, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon (a gravity or butterfly knife), possession of a knife for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats.

The indictment also charges a co-defendant, William Andes, 32, of Scotch Plains, with possession of a bottle and/or glass for unlawful purposes and aggravated assault.


The indictment stems from an incident at 1 a.m. March 24 in the Deja Vu nightclub in Atlantic City.

Scarfo Jr. allegedly pulled a knife on William Morton, the club manager, threatened him and attempted to stab him in the back, Blitz said.

However, two employees of the club were able to wrestle Scarfo Jr. to the ground and disarm him.

Andes, who was with Scarfo Jr., allegedly struck both of the employees with either a bottle or a glass, Blitz said.

According to Morton, the altercation started when one of Scarfo Jr.'s friends got into a fight and was ejected from the nightclub.


Scarfo Jr. was paroled May 22 from Bayside State Prison in Cumberland County, where he was serving a seven-year sentence for conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Andes and Scarfo Jr. are free on bail, Blitz said.

I thought it was down New York Ave a little bit but still Ocean Block? But what do I know, I was 12 years old in 1996!
