More of the same racism. The complaint that he was "uppity". There's a deep southern meaning to these words. A lot of whites expect blacks to know their place. The truth is, Obama is actually very humble. He routinely explains his beliefs and his actions, almost as if he's asking for permission to carry them. He's called elitist by racist whites for daring to be president.

I wish that Obama were an elite. He would have been a much better president if he governed with a sense of authority and purpose of someone who was meant for the job, which he was, even thought he was too humbled to embrace it. I don't believe our country has progressed to a point to where a non-white (or non-male) president would govern with a mandated sense of authority. The right threatened civil war over a black president who was about as docile and cooperative as any president in history.

I think Liberals are stuck on broadening a person's general knowledge because I do not see any progress on that front. In fact I see quite the opposite. They are behaving like cave men. You know chasing women out of restaurants, uttering threats to 12 year olds and so on.
