Wasn't Capone made by Masseria after Aiello disobeyed Masseria's orders? I believe Masseria himself began making non-sicilian Italians around the country for alliances.
Thats right, the Capone Mob started as crew for the Masseria clan and Capone was Capo Decina meaning a crew boss of ten made guys. They even allegedly had a Sicilian representative for the rest of tge crime families Salvatore LoVerde who was replaced by Ricca and this was until the deaths of both Masseria and Maranzano in 1931 and also the imprisonment of Capone in 1932.
