We were last in the SEC. 4th ranked Washington put up a measly 7 points on Bama's elite defense even though they ranked 4th in the country. That is all you need to know about the strength of SEC schedules an the rest of the country. Nuff Said.

Don't even make me start on Clemson though. They looked dominate against a weak ass Ohio State team, but Clemson played more cupcakes than any team in any conference. Beat Auburn and Louisville by 6. Beat #23 Virginia Tech to win the ACC and they are considered a Top 4 team. It blows my mind, but at least they won their cupcake conference. If NC State had a decent kicker we wouldn't be having this conversation. Not even going to mention their loss to Pitt. Because losses to unranked obviously dont matter if you play cupcakes all year long and schedule them instead of viable SEC, Pac 12, Big 10, or ACC team. A win against Troy should not account for anything other than ticket sales.

As for Clemson, we are better off this year as we have ever been against no huddle hurry up offenses. Of course losing Eddie Jackson (would have easily been an All-American had he not gotten hurt) and Shaun-Dion Hamilton will hurt us against Clemson. Losing Kirby Smart was the best thing to ever happen to us defensively. He just simply could not act fast enough and was even dumb enough to try and change plays which is not good against a no huddle team. I still think Clemson's best chance was last year instead of this year.

Dixie, I know it looks impossible to run, on Alabama, and their cornerbacks, safeties, are outstanding, but, Clemson showed me something, I think they can put heat on hurts, and if they do that, and their inside defensive lineman can smother the tides run game, could be a long night for your tide.

good observation gets, the talking heads on sports radio, do not have a clue about college football.

My prediction. 31-17 Bama wins. Penn State should have got into the playoffs though. Wouldn't do much good but they would have scored on Clemson at least. USC beat Penn State 52-49 but Bama beat USC 52-6. Bama sandbagged against Washington last week. Gave Harris, their leading rusher the ball only 9 times. I'd take bama -17 all day long just watch.
