Give it a listen kids. It's worth the time.

For those of you into rock n roll music, the part of JC is sung by the great Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, mike d'abo of Manfred Mann is Herod, and Yvonne Elliman is Mary Magdalene.

All God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.

I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?

Just saw Godzilla king of all monsters. With Raymond burr. The end was fun Godzilla was killed by the oxygen destroyer other wise called dry ice in water.

At the end it looked like Godzilla passed gas in the ocean.

Just re-watched "Atlantic City" (1980). One of the greatest films of the Eighties. Burt Lancaster, Susan Sarandon and Kate Reid superb. Director Louis Malle did a great job.

I've never seen the movie TB, but Lancaster was one of the last leading men who was a leading man. Like Heston, Gable, Wayne, Peck, etc. he filled up the screen. Maybe I give it a look some day.

Hey good post olivant.

Lancaster was fantastic even as an older man. He was one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood.

See his Obscure movies rose tattoo, the swimmer , the leopard, come back little Sheba And all my sons.

My favorites of his are too many to mention. I really liked trapeze with him, Tony Curtis and Gina lolabrigida that was a sexy women.

He is an Italian Harlem boy. Used to get his hair cuts where I got mine at Russo's barber shop. I was half ass friends with Russo's son Gregory.

Lonely are the brave starring Kurt Douglas. Great fight scene against a crazy one armed guy. Funny

I thought this horror movie was pretty good. Great special effects, excellently worked setpieces, lots of gore and a charismatic antagonist.

The intro and ending feature some of the most disturbing death scenes I have ever seen in a horror movie.

Also watch out for cameos from Tony Todd (Candyman), Kane Hodder (Jason) and Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger).

I recommend it if you haven't seen it before.

7/10.

Wishmaster is a decent movie, caught it on the horror channel fairly recently.

Just finished watching Hostel, away to stick Hostel part 2 on.

Seen the full trilogy before, but thought id give them all another watch.

Not really keen on the SAW type horror movies, but thought Hostel was good.

Saw the new Bourne movie. I hate to say it but it's started to become predictable, formulaic, and repetitive.

I still think the first one was the best and most true Bourne style. Then Paul Greengrass took over and changed it and not exactly for the better.

Saw "The Peanuts Movie" and loved it. I am an old school art guy and appreciate the way they kept true to the style and integrity of the cartoonist master, Charles Schulz. It's not just for kids. It was very good!

Watched The Caine Mutiny with Humphrey Bogart. That kind of superb acting is rare today.

Backdraft - 7/10.

Always thought this was a decent movie, albeit a little bit cheesey at times. Soundtrack score is pretty sweet too.

Today I watched Wyatt Earp's Revenge, a very forgettable Wyatt Earp movie starring Val Kilmer. My God, what happened to Kilmer? His face looked like a bowling ball.

Byt he way, maybe he'll slim down for Top Gun 2 which has been announced for production. Will he be able to fit into the cockpit?

The Drop - 7/10

Decent movie, think it was one of James Gandolfini's last. Good to see him pair with Tom Hardy. Nice twist at the ending, could see it coming a mile off though.

Watched American Gangster which has a New Jersey assistant DA prosecuting Frank Lewis. However, it was a Federal DA that broke the case and successfully prosecuted him. It was only after that that the NJ DA prosecuted him. Also, I never understood how or why the film portrayed the NJ DA as a policeman and a DA.

Shootfighter: Fight To The Death(1993) - 6/10

Picked this movie up for 50p on dvd from the local shop, merely for the fact it had Bolo Yeung in it and this time as a good guy.

Had never seen this film prior. Shootfighter is your typical 90s old school martial arts movie, complete with cheesy soundtrack score.

Some decent fight scenes, although some of the deaths are pretty over the top, people's hearts getting ripped out of their chests etc lol.

Reminds me of the movie Breathing Fire, which also has Bolo Yeung in it.

Just finished watching The 51st State or Formula 51 as its known in the US.

6/10 - Decent British action/comedy movie with Samuel L Jackson, Robert Carlyle and others.

An American master chemist plans to score big on a once in a lifetime drug deal. All does not go as planned and he is soon entangled in a web of deceit.

Emily Mortimer probably being the best part of the movie lol.

Last night I watched Noah starring Russell Crowe. It's a different take on the flood et al. It dragged some, but was more of a look at the man. I found that look to be much like that of Moses in Exodus: Gods and Kings starring Christian Bale.

One quite unusual thing about Noah was the appearance of tree transformers(?) who helped defend him against the aggression of a local chieftan. All very interesting.
