Keanu is good, amusing. Worth a matinee or second-run showing in a few weeks.

Lethal Weapon 2.

Pretty sure one of the cops is Hank Schrader. Yep, Dean Norris according to the credits.

Back when Hank Schrader was just a street cop lol.

Picked up another two dvd's.

Hellraiser(1987) - 8/10 - Classic horror movie.

and...

The Bank Job(2008) - 7/10 - Decent British crime movie, based on the Baker Street Bank Robbery.

A couple days ago AMC aired Serpico. I love that movie. I remember seeing it at the theater when it came out. Pacino in his prime. smile

Still never seen Serpico myself, must pick it up on dvd.

Just finished yesterday's purchases from the dvd shop.

Mortal Kombat Conquest - 6/10 - Was a decent watch overall. Has Daniel Bernhardt in it, who starred in Bloodsport 2/3.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - 6.5/10

Serpico great movie Pacino at his best.

I just saw Sacaramouche. Made in the early 1950's staring Stewart Granger a fantastic movie. Worth seeing he did a lot of his own stunts in that movie. It put him in the hospital more then once while shooting it. You will see why after you see it.

A lot of fencing with real swords not with safety tips. A lot of really heavy shit falling from ceilings plus very funny as well. Maybe one of the best sword fight scenes of all time at the end in the middle of a theather full of people.

I enjoyed the Dark Knight way more the 2nd and 3rd time I watched it Friend..

I absolutely loved Taken, Neeson was so refreshing as an action star, and delivered this legendary monologue:

I've only seen the first Taken which i thought was good not to fussed about the others, too predictable..

Must give TDK another shot then smile.

Yeah i enjoyed Taken also, fight scenes were class, hear there even better in part 2 also. Id never really thought much about Liam Neeson before as an actor and didn't even realize it was him in Batman Begins, which is what made me pick up Taken.

Didn't go with Taken 2 tonight in the end, just finished watching The Shawshank Redemption for the first time instead. Can't believe its taken me till now to get round to watching it.

Good movie, 8/10.

FWIW

I love the Taken movies. Never knew much about Neeson til then.

As for TDK, I love it only because of Ledger's Joker. He's wonderful. I've seen it many times and still tune in off/on to see my favorite scenes when it's on tv. One of my favorite movie villains is Ledger's Joker.

Anyone into the Bourne movies? I love them. A new one due out next month. Can't wait. I'll actually go to the theater for certain films, and this is one. smile

This lazy Saturday afternoon I watched Robin and the Seven Hoods with Sinatra and Dean Martin. It's a cute movie, but it's Peter Falk who steals the movie. Like Assante, Falk is the perfect gangster.

See Peter falk in Murder inc. he was fantastic. I knew someone older then us he owned a moving truck I forget his name. He took the people living in my tenement in Italian Harlem to jones beach for the day more then once. I never been to a beach like that as a kid.

I mentioned him because when he wasn't movie furniture or taking us to the beach he work for murder inc. removing and disposing bodies from the murder scene.

I thought it was on course to be a great movie but completely ran out of steam by the end.

I agree Moe and the dude. Goodman was good but that ending, was just horrible and stupid.

Another movie i probably should have seen, but have never really got around to watching.

Robert Duvall was good as the cop too.

Here's a blast from the past for some of we Board members. TCM showed Jesus Christ Superstar the other night. Platform shoes, bell bottoms, and afros dominated the cultural landscape back in the early 70s when it came out first on stage than in theaters.

I just love the soundtrack and have enjoyed the movie. Some of you younger Board members should give it a look or at least listen tot he soundtrack.

I did not like the movie or the hair movie either.

I saw Jesus Christ on Broadway. Ben Vereen was Judas and Jeff Feinholt was Jesus. My wife dragged me there, but I dug it.

Hair was even better original cast on Broadway fantastic singers. A lot of people in the original cast made it.

I saw it again 2 years ago not as good, but fun. You could go up on stage and dance with them.
