Exceptional documentary called The Thin Blue Line about a man sentenced to Death Row for a crime he did not commit.

There is a mini series on Amazon prime called Poldark master piece theather. It is very good I love history. This takes place in England right after the revolutionary war. Well worth watching I am only into the second episode. I think it is ten episodes.

Lead actor is very good.

Saw Room with Brie Larson who won the Academy Award, really good movie a little depressing but worth watching

Exodus: Gods and Kings starring Christian Bale is the retelling of the exodus story without the majesty or exuberance of the Cecil B. DeMille epic. It's an unconventional retelling and I liked it.

A side bar: to where has Ben Kingsley disappeared? He's in this film, but in a quite minor role and his screen time is brief. I think I've noticed that the quantity and quality of his roles has declined over the past decade. I wonder is that is his choice.

Kingsley still is making movies into his 70s.

I still prefer DeMlle version saw it when it first opened at radio city music hall. I think the special effects were better.

I have a piece of furniture from that movie. I really would love ramese's war crown and his sword. The dialogue from that movie was fantastic.

Having Edward G Robinson I used to think was bad casting. He was the only one in the whole movie who actually spoke Hebrew in this movie.

Massacre in the Black Forest. It is a German movie from 1967 about a Germania tribe chief that leads three Roman Legions into ambush that halts Rome expansion and leads up to the German tribes banning together to attack the Roman Empire. It is one of the more accurate historical films I have seen.

Saw Cloverfield Lane. Good movie. Tense and original. One where you can have your cake and eat it too, so to speak.

Good to know. Previews looked good but basketball is keeping me away from movies right now.

Wikipedia's list of cult films lists a lot of my favorites along with some really weird-sounding ones. I may have to try to dig some of these up.

Gangster No 1.

Decent British gangster movie, lots of familiar actors from other UK crime films.

Murder by Death. It is an all star cast and has some of the best dark humor in a film from that time period that I have ever seen from the 1970s.

Been a long time since I've seen it, but I watched American History X. Wow, what a disturbing film. panic Edward Norton was fantastic.

Watched American History X for the first time in ages myself the other day. Both Edward Norton and Furlong are fantastic in it, i thought.

Might need to go watch fight club now, been years since i seen that too, can't even remember that much about it.

It's a pity Edward Norton has been blacklisted from working in high profile roles.

Much better Hulk than Mark Ruffalo imo.

Always enjoyed him as an actor.

Why would he be blacklisted?

Because he has a reputation of being difficult to work with and likes to micromanage everything behind the scenes.

That's why he can only get shit roles now.

The story of how and why he was replaced by Mark Ruffalo is interesting. And the power struggle he had with the director of American History X.

Saw the new Captain America movie. It was good. Typical Avengers action, drama, with some humor thrown in.
