The ridiculous conspiracy theories about the Fed are amusing in a Lyndon LaRouche type of way.

In the 7 man debate that just ended. The question was never even brought up.

No studio audience so no bull shit applause.

I am sure you all saw it smile do you think any of the lower group will move up in the polls. I doubt it.

I heard if you stay in your seat after the credits roll on the GOP debate, Trump removes his skin mask to reveal that he's actually Andy Kaufman. Set your DVRs.

the debates were good puppet theatre, at my age I no longer tske anything the candidates say as serious.

it's all a big show, the military runs the country, if anyone doesn't think so.... try to get out of a war. you may find out where the real power is.

I have yet to see any Republican candidate that wouldn't, at the very least, be a lesser evil than Hillary Clinton.

I don't know that "any" Republican candidate can best her, but someone will. I've been saying it for eight years, she never sees the Presidency. No way, no how.

The way the Left attacked Reagan, Dole and McCain about their age was fucking shameless. Well, guess what, kids?

She's roughly the same age now as they were then. What comes around goes around. I hope they use Photoshop to make her look older, haggier and more out of touch than she already is.

Now, don't take me wrong. Bob Dole was a throwaway vote back in '96. But the way the Left went after his age was awful. Like I said, what comes around goes around. Fuck Hillary Clinton, and his wife, too.

I'm not making any predictions on who will win, though don't underestimate the stupidity of the American people. The same voters who put Obama in office (women, low info minorities, social marginal types, idealistic/ignorant youth, and liberal elites - including the media) will vote for her.

I just think (hope) that Americans have grown tired of these political dynasties. The Bushes, the Kennedys, the Clintons. They had their fucking day. It's enough already. If we wanted a handed down Monarchy (albeit with rotating families), then we never should have split from fucking England. It's absurd.

Jeb Bush has been making one gaffe after another, and the mainstream media will make sure to give each and every one more time than what they've given to Iran or Planned Parenthood. The Obama Justice Department is now criminally investigating Hillary, so they may in the process of throwing her under the bus, especially if Biden jumps in. So there's little chance that either one will make it to the White House.

Poetic justice, and music to my ears. And for the record, I think Biden's an idiot. But why should a sitting two term VP step aside for someone because of her last name? Fuck her. Did I say that already? lol

I saw both debates. On the earlier one that women Carly was very good. She could become a sleeper.

The others in the first are not going anywhere.

In the second was watched by 23 million people that is unheard of.

I thought Donald was an idiot after the debate ended. He actually thought he did well? He said that he might run on a third party ticket if he does not win the primary a fucking idiot.

I thought Marco Rubio was good. Ted Cruz was good and Jeb Bush held his own.

Thrump was set up by Kelly the hot blonde. But he has to expect that.

The so called deal that Obama is pushing is going to crash and burn.

I got a call poll from chuck schumer office asking if we thought the deal with Iran was good. I guess everyone said no that is why he bailed out on the deal.

Kasich did very well. Reasonable, intelligent, compassionate, full of specifics. Of course, he doesn't have a chance of getting the nom, which is a shame.

I like Kasich. I think there's several good choices from the second debate of the evening. Looking forward to the next debate, and I hope Carly Fiorina gets to participate in that one.

Doesn't it suck when you can beat the opposition, but your own fucking Party won't let you?

I registered in the early 1980s and have always been independent/nonpartisan.

I disagree that Kasich doesn't have a chance. It's based on polls and votes, and the one who stands out with the highest favorables wins the primary. I was a fan of Rand Paul, but my interest in him has declined while my opinion of Kasich and Walker has risen. In fact my top three (in no particular order) -- right now -- are Kasich, Walker and Fiorina. The next two are Carson and Cruz. The person who ends up on top may not by any of my choices because the polls and votes are simple majority rule. Doesn't mean the party is preventing my top people from rising to the top.

I liked Kasich a lot. Not to mention he's from Ohio, a key state to win for the Republicans.

Carly Fiorina is sharp as a tack. Fuck Hillary, that woman could be President of the United States. I want to see her on the prime time debate.

And Amen PB, partisan politics have destroyed the mobility and law making process of this nation. We are so damn polarized and it sucks. George Washington, the father of our nation, warned about party politics- "the gangrene of faction must not be allowed to rot this government"

Can you vote in primaries where you live if you aren't registered as a specific parties member?

I know in some states you can, some you can't.

I think if you're an independent you have the choice of voting in either the Republican primary or the Democratic primary. But only one

Each state's election code dictates whether a state is an open primary state or a closed primary state. Texas is a closed primary state, but operates as an open primary state. One can vote in any party's primary, but one can only vote in one.

it depends on your state. Some have strictly closed primaries (like NY which is why I didn't ask PB), some have open, some have semi open.

In some where you're allowed to vote without being affiliated the primary you vote in affiliates you until the next election,in others it doesn't.

Edited to add- thank you Olivant for the Texas info.

I don't get to vote in primaries, I'm a former NY resident and now I live in NJ. Both are strictly closed. Although in national elections I tend to vote third party anyway, as neither state is normally a battleground and it's my little way of saying F you to the two party system.

I have to pick a side to vote for in the primary. I can't pick both or more.

^ thanks for the reply.

There's a lawsuit pending here to push NJ to open primaries, but it still working it's way through the courts. Not having it open excludes about 50% of the state's voters, which is kind of outrageous.
