Agree. Dont like the idea of these trainers having multible interests in a race.

Enjoy every minute. I would take my Dad and we were there for the close calls, he's gone now but I always remember what a great time we had.

The card will be big payouts, huge pools, so get those exotics... doubles / Exactas & Trips will payout nicely tomorrow.

Enjoy and good luck.

Hope anyone going has advanced ticket sales.

Years past you could just show up and get in, this year they have limitted ticket sales to 90k and they are sold out.

The track hold 120k and many more if they opened the infield as they did in the past.

Good luck all.

FYI

NYAR announced Belmont Stakes admission tickets are SOLD OUT. DO NOT BOARD LIRR trains without a Belmont entry ticket. NYRA will not be selling tickets at the gate. LIRR Stakes customers MUST have a Belmont Stakes Entry Ticket to take LIRR trains to Belmont. LIRR customers already in possession of Belmont Park admission tickets are advised to buy round-trip LIRR tickets to Belmont Park in advance to avoid long ticket-buying lines at LIRR stations.

I was meaning for a couple of days to pop in here and say Frosted was going to take the thing today, but what a wonderful horse Pharoah has proved to be! I think Frosted was boxed in for a bit and might have run a little better, but if he had I also suspect that Pharoah would have just run a little better, too.

A beautiful, beautiful horse.

yes, but he's not as great as secretariat, affirmed, or seattle slew. the colt had a weak field, only 8 horses nobody to run with.

I was went to see it at Belmont Park yesterday. Pretty crowded but it was great to see history made. My brother snuck into the box seats from the clubhouse or whatever it's called.
I suck at picking horses btw

Boy, when you're wrong about something. you always look to find fault. Here comes Pletcher's horse now lol.

Note the "smiley," I'm just breaking balls grin.

The Belmont Stakes always has a short field because the trainers are afraid of the stretch. You mentioned the eight horse field as one of your excuses. Secretariat ran the Belmont against four other horses.

Now I'm not comparing this horse to Secretariat. That would be ridiculous. But for Christ's sake, give a little credit where it's due. Do you have any idea what the stud fees are going to be for this horse? They'll break every record in the book.

As an aside, I've never been to a louder sporting event in my life. And I was at the Giants-Skins NFC Championship game in '86, and game seven of Mets-Red Sox, also in '86. It was insane.

ok, I give the colt credit, he ran it faster than any triple crown winner except secretariat, so, hes for real.

oh, by the way my horse [pletchers} is still running.
I think hes headed for throngs neck.

All kidding aside, Belmont is only fifteen minutes from the Throggs Neck Bridge with no traffic. I'm there at least twice a week during the Summer (the Saratoga meet notwithstanding).

1) Saratoga
2) Belmont
3) Gulfstream

Those are my three favorite tracks to bet live and in person.

My NYRA Rewards Internet account allows me to bet anywhere. Track prices. Best thing to hit the Internet since Amazon Prime wink.

PB you should come see a Bama game with 102,000+ during the Iron Bowl. I've heard it so loud you could scream into the ear of the person next to you and they wouldn't be able to hear you.

But from the sounds of it yesterday it did sound like that place was rocking. I could give a shit about horse racing but I was watching just to say I seen it happen. Most of the time, people hate the winners like that but it was cool to see everyone rooting for AP to win. I would have loved to have been there for sure.

American Pharoah's final Prep For Today's Haskell
August 2 08-02-15
Triple Crown champion American Pharoah, who has won seven straight graded stakes races on six different racetracks, gave every indication on Saturday morning that he is primed for Today's Grade 1, $1.75 million William Hill Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park.

Looking forward to seeing the Champ run again.

Fifty years from now, the name "American Pharoah" will be mentioned in the same breath with "Secretariat," "Affirmed," "Seattle Slew," "Citation," and a maybe a dozen other horses. I just don't feel like typing that much right now. Yeah, he went off at 1 to 9. But there's a reason for that. You're looking at an all-timer here.

American Pharoah outclassed the field. It really wasn't much of a field (kind of like watching Joe Louis fight the bum of the month). AP wasn't pushed and he let up (almost a little TOO much) but it's plain to see that he is quite an impressive horse.

Just as long as he, and the others are mentioned AFTER Secretariat.

Well, that goes without saying. Look at my post. I was sure to mention "Secretariat" first. Because, to be honest, when you name the twenty best of all-time, there's going to be "Secretariat," and THEN everyone else.
