Where'd he say those things? I always see Scott saying Detroit is still a viable family, in Detroit. Not a powerful one. They still have guys involved in rackets, the boss and his underlings still meet, somethings going on. They're legit millionaires so they just mask it better. As seen in Detroit Confidential, it's pretty obvious Scott's sources exist.

Scott's article on Parillo is from 2014. Perhaps Parillo was made and rose in rank between the years of 2011-2014. Oh and in 2008 some sources had Parillo as a captain in the Providence faction. So I don't really know how he went from a captain, to an associate, to consigliere. But who know's.
