Do you think Nicky Scarfo still see's himself as the boss?

People say he had a huge ego, so wonder if he still thinks he's the don

Dam right he does.

And if the whole family did not get wiped out he would be boss (in prison) just like all the others.

But his case was unique, I don't think it has ever happend that a boss did not insulate" him self enough to keep at least more then half the family a float ..

Everyone knew what was going down on the streets in weeks let alone years.

if Scarfo hadn't literally decimated his family, killing gangsters such as Salvie Testa and putting in his place people like Caramandi and DelGiorno and induced his nephew Leonetti who worshiped him as a god to betray him ifor the disgust, surely it would have been another Carmine Persico with Nicky Jr. as acting boss and Leonetti and Testa as street bosses.

Im sure Scafo still sees himself as boss in his own head. I mean we are dealing with probably a psychopath here lol. Have you seen his letters he wrote to his mother about his nephew and sister. That gives you insight into the mind of Scarfo lol

Basically that he wanted them to suffer and die. He said things like "Fuck God". He also questioned his mother being senile because she sill cared about her daughter and grandson

In one of his letters Scarfo wrote, "It's better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand days like a lamb. And in the end, the lambs get slaughtered" This is from a guy who is scheduled to be released in 2033. He also wrote from jail that he's living "like a dog in a kennel" and vowed revenge on Leonetti and rats. Classic Scarfo!

We're talking about a guy who loved to see people get killed on the streets and a guy who loved to see his name in the papers...

Do you really think he'd EVER accept defeat? I believe that, in his mind, he knows he'll die in prison and Leonetti will probably live to be a senior citizen, but he will never, EVER say that out loud.

Serpiente-

Did you ever have any interactions with Ron Previte when he was hustling in the 1980s in AC as a corrupt security guard at the Tropicana after he was fired from Philly PD?

I read a quote about scarfo saying something like being locked up in solitary at Florence made him hear voices. Lol. Good thing none of them told him to kill the boss.

What kind of stuff did he normally talk about? I mean, when I read about this guy he just seems like right out of a cartoon. A gangster cartoon maybe of sorts.

Anyone know if he does live till 2033, can he definitely get out that year? OR, must his release be approved by a judge?

People in his family have lived long lives so he has half a chance to make it.

Just doesnt seem fair that Mortorano's son will never see light of day and Nicky just might.

I told you (in a PM)I think what he did to me / us when he" got the go ahead from Stanfa to start leaning on people.

He would not show his face here in the 80's a guy like Nicky say what you want about him but he would have seen right through this guy ,and if he came back a second time that would have been it for him...

I really don't believe his stories from back then unless he was messing with regular folks at the casinos,he was not poking his head around here till when I said after Stanfa got in ...the 90's and he was pushing then .

Why the disrespect? He will die a man, and they will put a man in that hole when he dies, that counts for something to me, It is a major loss when we lose anybody from scarfos generation, they dont make em like that no more.

hope you are just joking around. We all find mob history interesting BUT we dont respect these guys because they are hardcore criminals and killers. Scarfo is most likely a psychopath so you cant blame people for being a bit harsh considering all the killings

Does his name carry any weight in prison you think? I know that mobsters are usually put on the same level on as other prisoners when they are put inside, but do you think he has to deal with any other guys giving him trouble?

A major loss to whom exactly? This sounds like "The Godfather Syndrome".

Just a question was there ever a kickstart campaign within the Philly family to have Scarfo clipped for his violence and high profile someone must have been sick of it

Good question , I think that he was making sure that he did not get killed or other. This is when everyone calls him a maniac.

If they understood Philly" and the two factions" back in the day, and that fact that two Bosses" just got killed" in front of him .
This is why none of the other families thought it was that out of line.
At the end he was getting out of line but Joe S just would not get the message.

To me it seamed like one big insurance policy....
