Well, I'm embarrassed by my Steelers loss to Tampa Bay. Madonne! The penalties for such stupid behavior.

Well, the Cowboys are 5-1 and beat Seattle. Whoda thunk it!

On the other hand, my Steelers are over as are the SB glory days.

It was very satisfying watching the Browns kick the snot out of the Steelers yesterday. Time will tell if the Browns are starting to turn things around in Year #15 of their rebuilding program. I'm not holding my breath.

well, im not happy today. my seahawks got whupped. and whupped good, 2 of the hawks tds came from dallas turn overs. both our offence and defence sucked. I hope dallas never wins another game. they had a few lucky, just downright lucky plays go there way. and the refs favored them. if we ever play them again we will trounce them big time.

From time to time the Steelers let the Browns win in order to create the illusion that the Brown's are competitive.

Manziel only sees the field if Hoyer gets hurt. This offseason will be interesting since Hoyer's contract is up. If he remains healthy and productive, Cleveland will re-sign him. I could see Manziel traded if that happens. Otherwise Manziel has a 4 year deal and will play next year if Hoyer departs.

so how far is romo going to lead the cowboys? they will crash and burn about the halfway mark, romo isn't a qb with the ability to get them very far in the post season. they have the worst gm in the nfl. the owner jerry jones. he is their downfall.

I can't see Romo staying healthy at his age with his history of back problems. Their backup is Brandon Weeden. Is any other info required? wink

I'll give Jerry Jones a little credit. For the most part, he has been an abysmal GM. But he did pass on Manziel, which I never thought would happen. And his o-line has three #1 draft picks on it. So after 20+ years since he forced Jimmy Johnson out, Jerry just might be learning a lesson on how to build a team.

goombah, well the dallas fans have certainly been patient. as for passing on manziel, I think that was a great move, he could be a big bust. they did look good vs the seahawks. but, romo has a history of caving under pressure. I think their going to die in the stretch.

I agree about Dallas fans Binnie Coll. They have endured mediocrity for about 15 years. Romo has not stood up well in big December games. I remember the 'Boys having the #1 seed in 2009 and having their doors blown off by Minnesota. We'll see what happens this year; maybe they are the surprise team of the NFL.

With the browns schedule they could hav a winning season if they resign hoyer it wont be fair to Manziel to sit anothet season or 2 Im afraid Manziel is stuck there and in 2 to 3 yrs teams just look in the draft and mayb johnny doest evrr get his chance if they resign hoyer do u c teams like my bills mayb texans or whomever trying to make a move for him.. Or do u think he might get stuck in cleveland for now..

I felt it was exciting the night we drafted Manziel. But I don't feel the least bit sorry for him. Nobody forced him to leave college early. And while he's done nothing illegal like Ray Rice et. al., Manziel hasn't endeared himself to his teammates and coaches with his antics. Being repeatedly photographed partying and using rolled up dollar bills doesn't go over well for a blue-collar fanfase. And worse yet, this was time that Hoyer was using to learn the new offense and Manziel had the same opportunity. But Manziel squandered it. And I think more than anything, his ego is a bit bruised. He was THE big fish in college. Now he's a 2nd stringer holding a clipboard.

Is this my way of saying Manziel can't play in this league? No. But he's going to have to wait. Whether it's with Cleveland will remain to be seen. If Hoyer stays healthy and maintains the same level of consistency, Manziel could have an Aaron Rodgers type of wait before being Cleveland's starter. In the NFL, players get hurt all the time so I think a 2-3 year wait is unlikely. Plus I don't see Manziel sitting by quietly if he isn't playing.

I could see Manziel succeeding in a Chip Kelly type of offense. But he needs to put time in the film room and in learning to be an NFL QB. He's no longer one of the fastest players on the field. NFL defenses are infinitely more complex than in the NCAA.

Manziel will get his chance at some point. A guy like him needs to understand it ain't all about him especially at his age. Guys like Brady, Rodgers, and Brees all had to wait their turn before getting the starting job.

Now guys like Luck, Manning, Cam Newton, and Alex Smith were immediately thrusted into the spotlight because their teams at the time needed it. But Manziel was so heavily followed and touted on during college I think him taking the backseat for awhile isn't necessarily a bad thing. He was an arrogant douche at A&M so maybe he'll mellow out

That is the biggest plus side to all of this, if he matures and with that talent he could do a lot in this league. One thing for sure though, I rather have him on my team then say Jameis Winston.

Seems like college football players are more trouble than their worth these days. The amount of allegations surrounding that guy especially would be enough to downgrade his draft status significantly

well, concerning manziel, lets face it, hes no Andrew luck, cam newton, russel Wilson. kaepernick, when did these guys sit on the bench. these 4 qbs have talent. what manziel did in college means squat. if he had the tools he would be leading that team right now. write him off.

The NFL Players' Union was smart to put rookie salary caps to better control the payscale. That prevents knuckleheads from killing a team's salary cap. Ryan Leaf & Lawrence Phillips were two highly paid draftees who did absolutely nothing on the field to warrant their salaries. Now it's less risky from a financial perspective for a team to take a flyer on a player who was troublesome in college. Not that Manziel was, but certainly some team will take Jameis Winston and all of his antics next year. Buyer beware.

They most likely will, but not till the 2nd round or later.

I bet the Rams are kicking themselves for that deal they gave Sam Bradford. No rookie should get that kind of money. Thing is Bradford was doing decent before he got hurt last year. Now it looks like he'll never get that knee patched.

My beef with major college athletes this days is that most think they're untouchable because they play fuckin football or whatever other sport. They behave horribly and don't care for the academic side of college that really leads to success. Because let's face it, how many people in a million actually make it in the NFL? Very few

Exactly. However, some teams are better at it than others.

Agreed Oli, but I think that the Steelers are going to create another illusion this coming Monday with the Texans smile

Last week a member of the crowd pointed a laser into the eyes of the Buffalo Bills QB as well as the kicker. He has been caught and banned from any NFL activity and I believe arrested as well. I hope he gets some jail time to discourage others from this practice
