I definitely agree with you on that.
This pic from his younger years is definitely a hair piece. The guy was a cue ball by age 40 so there is no way this pic is real

Another person who looks different in ever pic in Anthony Casso.

Yes! He's a chameleon. He does manage to look different in a lot of pictures. There's a pic I posted of him where he is a dead ringer for Larry David.

I don't think the picture of him with hair is a hairpiece. I think he's only in his teens/early twenties in that pic?

I don't think that's a hair piece and if you look at his arrest in 1947 - he is bald on top but does still have some hair.

Even in that pic with hair you can see his hairline is starting to go. It could be a hair piece as well though.

Where did you find it? I've been looking for more photos of Baratta, Daidone and D'Arco but they are extremely hard to find.

And just type in Ava D'Arco on Facebook and there are more there.

Really disturbing how not just the mobsters themselves but the actual family members glorify and revel in their father's/brother's lifestyles. Yeah your dad was "boss", "last of the old timers". Sound just like that idiot Vicky Gotti calling her father "the last of the mohicans". Only reason Al behaved after he became a rat is because the government allowed the little bastard to keep all the money he stole from the Lucchese family.

The lady sounds like an imbecile.

Dom, I lloved it when that Renee Graziano chick on Mob Wives would strut her stuff about her Dad, saying shit like "Do you know who I am?" and poking fun at Karen the Heffer Gravano and her own husband the father of her child becomes a RAT! Priceless!

She shouldn't go as far as saying her pops was a "Man of Honor" There has been some debate as to whether d'Arco is a rat. Casso and Amuso were killing stand up guys out of paranoia, changing the rules of the game daily. There was an attempt to try to take out Casso but failed. When you live your whole life by a set of rules that are understood among men in the life then two friggin paranoid fucks change them what are you supposed to do? (Like I said they couldn't take out Casso) Your pals are all getting clipped you are next...

Linda Scarpa she's a disgrace so is her mother Shiro and Karen Gravano is disgusting but as for the d'Arco daughter she really does have a good argument cuz her pops would have died a stand up guy if it weren't for friggin Casso changing the rules of the game

D'Arco is a thieving, devious rat.

Casso and Amuso were not whacking "everybody". That is a myth; just like the fairytale about Casso telling D'Arco he wanted to invite half the family to his house for a meal so he could whack all of them after. It sounds entertaining but it is a complete fallacy.

Sure D'Arco conspired to whack his bosses with Crea? What does that make him? Is it any wonder why Casso and Amuso wanted to whack some of their subordinates? Accetturro, Facciola, D'Arco and De Fede weren't driven to steal from the family or conspire with the feds. They did it on their own accord.

People like Casso, Amuso and their loyalists are scumbags and they are right where they belong but pond life pieces of shit like D'Arco belong there right with them.

At least guys like Amuso and Daidone stuck by their principles, sordid as they are.

I have no sympathy for D'Arco. Chiodo on the other hand was truly forced to rat.

You have pretty strong opinions about this crew especially D'Arco. Other than the authors of old news articles I've read referring to D'Arco as a squealer, not too many people write about D'Arco as being a lousy rat. They seem to sympathize with his choice to cooperate. As for Chiodo I agree with you completely.

I didn't hear about the after dinner whacking plan. On a documentary I saw there was mention that Casso wanted the whole Jersey crew clipped is that what you are talking about here?

He's a rat. Wanted to get even with casso and amuso but he hurt a lot of other people by testifying. He went in on his own terms could have just gave up them. And it's not all or nothing sammys entire crew was not fucked with by the Feds.

Cop Land Story

So I get a call from my Grandma she says guess what? We were walking home from Burger King to Aunt Mary's house; the streets were blocked there was a movie crew filming.

One of the fellas from the crew asked them which house do you live in? They told him. He said we wanted to use YOUR house for this film we were knocking on your door we needed electrical outlets too but now we see you were out. So we went down the street and used that house instead. He showed them see this road here it practically goes right into your driveway which would have worked perfectly for a scene we had in mind. That's why we wanted to use your house.
The house that belongs to Harvey Kietel's character Ray in the movie is in Cliffside Park. That could've been my Aunt's house in the film can you imagine, that would be so cool.

Back to the conversation:
So I ask what movie? What actors did you see? She says that Italian boxer. Who Rocky? Yea him. Who else? She says well these are young fellas I don't know their names. I told her oh Grandma "You are killing me". Can't you go ask someone on the block who these actors are maybe they know.

So this is the mid 1990's where you can't just go on the internet movie data base and look up what movie Stallone is gonna star in. I had to wait until the preview came out to find out what movie it was. It turned out that most of the actors were there including de Niro. I keep trying to find something online that shows de Niro was there in Cliffside Park cuz when I showed my grandma his pic she said yup he was there.

ALSO, it turns out that one of my cousins currently works for the production company who produced this film. Cool huh.

Nice story.

I love the scene with De Niro and Keitel. You can cut the tension with a knife.
