Great post and videos thanks for sharing. It's sickening what some people will do for money.

My Mom and aunt have always gone to mediums and have convinced my sister to do so too. I think it's all a crock of shit.

I have not seen the mini series at all, but just wondering is it any good? Also, does it stand on historical fact? I remember that the History Channel had another Houdini special years ago that was really interesting, it was a really good documentary. And, I have seen the one with Tony Curtis playing Houdini. Very entertaining.

Am I the only one who didn't know that Steve Buscemi was a NY fireman? I just watched his bio and found out. He also returned to the profession for a few days to assist with the aftermath of 9/11. That's class.

He's been doing charity work for the fire department all along, especially since 9/11. He showed up at AT LEAST a dozen of the funerals in the aftermath of the attacks. He's also been very vocal about the survivors benefits (particularly for the workers who developed smoke related cancers). He went off on that little midget Bloomberg a few years ago when he wanted to cut them off. He's a class act for sure. And a true New Yorker in a day and age where every other Hollywood phony adopts Brooklyn and Manhattan and calls them their own.

It's definitely worth watching as it was very entertaining with superb acting. What I really enjoyed about it was that you got a behind the scenes look at how Houdini actually performed his escapes. Maybe Camarel will be able to tell us whether or not it was historically accurate. I know so little about the real Harry Houdidi.

Scorsese is producing a film titled "Bleed for This" about World Champion boxer Vinny "Paz" (Pacienza). He has a good story to tell should be good.

I thought Scorsese was going to do the sequel of Raging Bull? Maybe it was another rumored movie.

That stupid movie ended up straight to video with a shit cast and a low budget. They got sued by everyone and their Mother. I'm pretty sure they can't even release it on dvd yet because of the lawsuits. Paul Sorvino and Joe Mantegna should be ashamed of themselves.

Wow, I had no idea about that! I thought it was a long way off from being made, and just talk. Is Jack Lamotta suing them or studios?

Even Tom Sizemore is in it, what has happened to his career as he was in some decent films in the 90's but by looking at his IMDB profile he seems to take any role on now..

He released a XXX film with some hookers got a bad drink and drug problem and called Michael Mann an asshole, while banging these hookers on tape after that no big directors wanted to work with him

Scorceses interest in Lamotta ended the second after Raging Bull was filmed. The making of Raging Bull largely changed Martins perspective on life, he has said more than once that Raging Bull saved me and everything before was me at my worst. Regardless of that, Taxi Driver is my favourite ever film and i imagine he could have been an actor in his own right based on this only major cameo in his own film.

You are right, he did a good job in that scene.

In the latest iteration of Godzilla, does the corpulent beast fly?

Denzel Washington is starring in The Equalizer. I wish one of the networks would bring it back; I think it would be a hit just as it was in the 80s.

Ha, ha. I was told that the movie has other beasts in it which fly. I guess I'll just have to go see. I'll probably take one of my granddaughters because I know I'll be scared.

Anyone else happy to hear that Matt Damon will be doing another "Bourne" movie. smile I just love the Bourne trilogy. I don't own a whole lot of movie but these I do.

I didn't see Jeremy Renner's Bourne film til it came to HBO, And surprisingly it was not bad BUT to me, I'd much rather see Damon in the part. I love the intrigue, action, suspense, chase scenes. So cool!!! smile

I don't go to the movie theater much either unless it's something I wanna see right away. For this film, I will.

Any other Bourne fans?

I access On Demand to watch some TV comedies, but On Demand doesn't offer Frasier and a few others that I like. Does anyone know how On Demand decides what programs to show? I'm sure it has something to do with licensing fees and program popularity. Anything else?.
