They're out. It's Chicago and Las Vegas in the US final, South Korea and Japan in the International final.

This is something

The goalkeeper gets a red card and they put a defenseman into goal.  The game goes to penalty kicks and he takes a penalty kick with the goal uniform on including the gloves and makes it. Then, watch what happens while he is in goal! Apparently this was a very important game.  The link is below.

USC safety and team captain, Josh Shaw has been suspended indefinitely by the team because he admitted lying to the coach when he claimed that he had sprained his ankles when he had jumped from a second floor balcony, and crawled into a swimming pool to save the life of his drowning nephew.

It's been revealed that what actually happened was that he was pushed off the balcony by the ghost of Manti Te'o's dead girlfriend.

Because this is USC, you can expect the suspension to last until such time that his ankles heal and he is able to play football again.

Yeah, I heard about this. The other team's 2 points were a result of 2 free throws.

What team fouls when they are up by over 100 points!?! lol

Watching that game today, I was thinking back to two seasons ago when the Packers and Seahawks met in Seattle.

That game was such a farce that it singlehandedly ended the referee lockout.

Well, Ernie Bank is gone. What a great player and a great person. I didn't realize that he was a Texan. I cut my baseball teeth on him and players like him.

Went to see a lacrosse game last week. Never seen one, didn't know even the basics of how the game is played. It was so exciting to watch I'm signing my son up next month. Anybody play?

And some of those other National League greats of the 1950s: Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, John Roseboro, Willie Mays, Stan Musial

IMHO Johnny Roseboro doesn't fit in on this list. The guy who he replaced does. Roy Campanella!

Duke Snider and Gil Hodges should be on that list, too.

More terrible news for Chicago sports legends... Blackhawks great, Stan Mikita, is in very bad shape. My guy tells me it's Lewy Body Dementia which is an unforgiving brutal degenerative disease. frown

Ugh, what a terrible disease. Casey Kasem had to deal with that for a couple years, and Robin Williams was either diagnosed before or after his death. I really hope he get's the best care.

Remember when Juan Marachil hit Johnny Roseboro with a baseball bat in a fight on the field.

So will there be a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather?

The tentative May 2 fight between Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) and Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) would likely be the highest-grossing event in boxing history. Both Pacquiao, 36, and Mayweather, 37, have challenged each other publicly, although until this week, it looked increasingly unlikely Mayweather would follow through. After brushing off Pacquiao’s repeated taunts on social media, the Filipino fighter gave Mayweather a Feb. 1 deadline to agree to terms, lest he arrange an alternate fight for May. So far, it seems to have worked.

Jeez SC I was just naming guys off the top of my head. Players I knew as a kid, which was like 55 years ago. Now if we're talking about the American league I'll give you names like Gus Triandos, Zolio Versailles, Rocky Colavito, "Suitcase" Simpson, Elmo Blatch, Woody Strode and Hector Lopez! tongue

The Philadelphia 76ers just traded away last year's Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams for a future draft pick. What the F? No wonder they are only better than the dysfunctional Knicks.

How's this for stupid. South Jersey, 18 year old wrestler, arrested for possession and distribution of marijuana. His record this year 28-0. One of the favorites to win a state title. Not anymore!
