Yeah I hope your right, I been stuck following this trial from the beginning and it's driving me nuts to keep checking everyday if it's over yet, these guys need to go free, appeal the other sentences to half the time, and demote everyone in the DA office that is using this for there own personal gain. This has been bullshit from from the getGo and they should rewrite the RICO law so it can't be unfairly used.

it will give the south philly goons a chance over the weekend to go find a juror. I think they would have rushed to some type of guilty by 4pm today if this didn't happen now the jury can get drunk and forget about the closing arguments and these guys might have a shot.

I think they already have their decision,it was just a matter of crossing the t's and dotting the i's as for a verdict today.I seriously doubt they will forget 8 weeks of testimony over the week-end.The only problem I could see would be if this juror couldn't continue then what,do the alternates know what's up or is that more delays.

Few months? If found guilty the defendants would get credit for the 2 years theyve been locked up for while tese trials have been going on.

Right that all counts but if they walk its just more time they spent for nothing.I think if they do walk the only consolation the government would get would be they made Borgesi do 2 more years. He technically should have been in a halfway house in the 1st week of Jan.2012 with the official release date in July of that year.It seems like the feds love making these guys lives miserable. They probably also look at it like win or lose they also got almost 3 extra years out of Uncle Joe.It probably really pissed them off when he had his conviction overturned in 97 for the Flowers case.

Lol
who?

Robert Ranieri.

Robert Verrecchia was only sentenced to 12 months, so he's already out.

If Georgie walks he'll stay in SP with his family if he's able to. No business in Boca or South Florida - he will want to spend time with his wife. I was at the trial on Thursday morning during the tape - jury listened to a 60 or 90 second recording - my opinion is that it was good for defense bad for aponick and DA. Georgie looked good and confident as he should with the evidence and witnesses presented .. Joe looked good also - it's a shame they have been kept them inside this long - abuse of power and I'm no homer. DA and team definatley looking to pad their resumes. Messing with people's lives while doing it is pretty low.

Its pretty ironic that you think the government is messing with Georgie's life. This guy is a multiple murderer who has made a living destroying other peoples lives. Now it doesn't matter to me whether they get off or not, but if they don't, its not exactly a miscarriage of justice. Everything needs to be looked at in perspective.

I don't have a horse in this race, so I don't really care if they get off either. But I think what jmack is trying to say is, karma can be a bitch wink.
