I heard a rumor that DiPetro was running his mouth around town that Nicodemo was the shooter on the Johnny Gongs hit and thus he was silenced. Anybody else hear this too?

I did hear that DiPietro had info on a hit but i'm not sure which one. Could of been either Martorano or Gongs.

Heard he had info on the gongs hit and may have been playing both sides with the Feds - very likely he was talking a little too much and was getting silenced..dipietro was in and out of trouble with drugs and may have been using information as leverage...
The other person they think involved on the gongs job was canalichio who just got another stiff sentence..

I think Virgillio's name was tossed around too on the hit on Gongs. In one article they referred to him as "Twitch".

So if Nicodemo flips the feds should resolve all unsolved hits.

Nicodemo probably does know the details about everything that went down under Ligambi. Dame's name gets tossed around alot too but i really don't know what these guys know or don't know.

Nicodemo must know plenty that has happened under Uncle Joe ... He got made under joe , lives down the street from joe (except for now) and took orders from joe for a long time . I'm sure he kicked up good money to joe from the gambling operations in Atlantic city and around philly.

I read Nicodemo might be one of the few philly guys that actually has a few bucks....well at least he did before the arrest. I hear he's into Real Estate or some shit. Said he owned a decent amount of property.

I don't think Nicodemo thinking that he can beat the charge is all that crazy. Remember this is a state murder charge not a federal rico. Something Nicodemo said on wiretap about bookimaking back in '07 doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is if on that day did he shoot Dipietro. Bringing in Monacello and having him say that hes a mob member won't matter. No eye witnesses to the crime, now the gun was found in his car but im sure his lawyers can conjure up something that could at least make going to trial not a long shot. If the gun wasn't in his car and I don't know why it wasn't than no case, I wont be surprised if the state offers him 7-10 years before trial.

7-10? I don't know Bobby. The fact is the gun was in his car, and that car was the same car spotted by an eyewitness leaving the murder scene. If they offer him 10 years, he should consider himself as lucky as someone who hit the mega millions jackpot.
Also, even if he was stupid enough not to take a plea deal and went to trial and by some act of God beat the case, double jeopardy does not apply to the feds picking up state acquittals. Meaning they could try him for the murder in federal court after his state acquittal, which if he was lucky enough to get, the feds would 100% do.

The feds could only bring the murder into a rico, killing your neighbor isn't a federal crime, killing your neighbor as part of a racketeering conspiracy is.

And the feds haven't exactly been tenuous in the past to fold murders into a major rico against against the mob.

Anyways I didn't know his car was id'd but Who knows if that guy wants o testify now knowing he fingered a mob hit. All im saying is he should take a plea but he has some glimmer of hope at trial.

He has $1 million worth of real estate. Was definitely no brokester.

I think someone got the tag number. But the question is can anyone id Nicodemo and put him in the car at the time of the shooting and the witness getting his tag? If not then they can always claim some off the wall bullshit like he's being framed. But if they do have him id'd at the scene then i'm not so sure why he thinks he's going to beat the case.

He's very well known to the philly cops and i would bet got pulled over and harassed frequently. So i don't think he normally drove around with a loaded 357 magnum in his glove box. Could be wrong though.

Forgot to say that i don't think Nicodemo was actually the shooter. I think he was there to supervise the hit and was the driver. I think someone else actually pulled the trigger. Not positive but i think he tested negative when they tested his hands, arms and clothing for gun powder residue. It's called a parafin test.

Yeah his lawyers can come up with whatever they want, don't mean its gonna work. Shit they could say Santy Clause was the shooter and rudolph drove the getaway car but don't mean the jury gonna buy it.
They have a shit ton of evidence on him including the weapon. IF they offered him a deal to plead out, he shoudl take it.
Whether he was the shooter or not dont make one iota a difference. Aiding an abetting a murder is the same for all intents and purposes.

In jersey once your indicted i think you get full discovery and the prosecution has to turn over the evidence. Not sure about PA though. But when his lawyer see's what they really have is when he'll know if the case is winnable or not.

Agreed Vinnie, under the law the driver is just as guilty as the shooter. Or anyone else that participated in the murder in pretty much any way if they knew ahead of time.

Why are the offering him a deal at all? They have the murder weapon for god's sake. And as vinnie said anyone involved in the conspiracy is guilty of murder 1 period regardless of what they actually did.

Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison.
I've read the RICO Act, and I can tell you it's more appropriate...

No, I would actually have to write the court to get documents. There is no PACER. And if there anything vaguely confidential or ratting going on- its a sealed record.
