My mom almost got into a fistfight with another older women because she but in when we were being helped at Bed Bath and Beyond. The other ladies husband looked ready to get into it with us. People in supermarkets who stand there and watch as all their stuff goes through the scanner and gets bagged, and then look shocked they are going to have to pay for their stuff. It is only when they are told the amount they start fumbling around counting cash and then deciding on a credit card ... or vice versa....and worse the ones who pay cash and insist on fumbling even more so they pay to the exact penny. Don't these people know that stuff in the store is going to cost money?

Mid season finales on American shows..

DeNiro, I hate that too but it's a fairly new here, and it's with mostly the cable shows (AMC for one). All our regular broadcast channels have a "normal" season and return in September.

I hate the long wait between seasons for many of these shows, but then to add a "mid-season" break is really stretching it IMHO.
