I'm thinking it's over. Police said NOBODY came out of the cabin. Earlier it was reported that there was a single gunshot heard just after the fire started. Then reported the roads were now open to residents who were blocked from entering. confused They were allowed to go home. I'll bet he's dead OR they are pretty confident he's dead.

A body has been removed from the burned out cabin. There hasn't been an official statement but it is believed to be Dorner's body.

Yep, they're saying he went up in flames and never left the cabin and that a body has been removed.

Well that was his choice, as far as i know he could of surrendered.

"LAPD says Dorner is dead, KTLA TV reports"

I think he shot himself. That was the gunshot they heard right before the place went up in flames.

Did you watch Marco Rubios speech after Obama's pretty damn good. He had one moment when he needed a drink of water that was ackward. Then go to Msnbc that was all they could talk about nothing about what Rubio said.

I loved this in Obama speech work hard go to college do well and you can be middle class. What nothing more then middle class if you go to college?

Hell man I was poor as a kid. Barely made it out of HS all I wanted to do is make a lot of money and I lived that dream.

My brother graduated college became an engineer and he has to borrow money from me. My daughter graduated Colombia university with honors and I paid that bill. No school loans for her and she thinks she is smarter then me.

Three out of the four are going throw divorces and all of them borrowed money from me.

Yes to bad I missed college I would have loved to be middle class.

Ok, LAPD just made announcement that any info about a body being found is NOT correct. He said building is still burning and NO body has been found. Cabin has not even been entered yet. I swear, the media needs to verify before it reports. That's terrible. rolleyes

It was reported that prisoners in New Jersey collected $23 million in benefits over the past 22 months. None of which they were entitled to. Included were unemployment benefits, food stamps, medicare reimbursements.

Nothing like running a tight ship.

Older folk were there. Unfortunately the cameraman ran out of film after his 2000 shots of the Hooters ladies... smile

What I wouldnt give to give this punk a good beating. A 10 year old girl! Jesus Christ. He deserves whatever he gets and some more.

Bronx teacher busted for raping student, 10, said to have emailed her saying, ‘I was too rough. Sorry’

A Bronx teacher accused of raping his 10-year-old student sent her a repulsive email after the attack, saying he was “too rough” but rationalizing that “it’s normal,” prosecutors say.

Anthony Criscuolo, 40, sent the email to the fifth-grade student from PS 386 in Fordham Heights on Tuesday — just one day after cops say he raped her in his car.

“I was too rough. Sorry. It’s normal,” he wrote in the sickening missive.

“You may feel pain for a few days,” he added.

As if that weren’t twisted enough, he asked, “How did it feel for you?”

The teacher had told the child’s parents he was escorting her to receive an award at a school ceremony on Monday — but instead he drove her to a school parking lot on Ward Avenue and raped her, cops say.

Anthony Criscuolo

Yesterday a Bronx criminal judge ordered him held on $750,000 bond or $500,000 cash bail.

During the attack, he placed his arms on the young girl’s arms, legs and chest, according to a criminal complaint.

The criminal trysts happened repeatedly beginning in April — at least one of them in a building on East 181st Street, according to the complaint.

During one alleged attack, Criscuolo kissed the victim on the mouth, unbuttoned her belt buckle, then told her, “I like you,” according to the complaint.

He continued, “I’m doing this because I like you. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable . . . If you feel uncomfortable ask me to stop,” the affidavit states.

When the victim’s mother found sexually explicit emails, she alerted police.

The Bronx Special Victims Squad opened an investigation that culminated in the teacher’s arrest on Wednesday.

Cops charged Criscuolo with rape, predatory sexual assault against a child, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Students later told the The Post they had noticed the special-education teacher and the victim playing husband and wife on occasion.

He had even bought her a real diamond ring, students claimed.

The pair were also acting strange at a Valentine’s Day party, students said, noting that they were “dancing real close.”

Cops say Criscuolo raped the girl in his silver Dodge Charger, which has tinted windows.

A Department of Education spokeswoman said on Wednesday the agency plans to fire the teacher.

Criscuolo had no disciplinary record before the arrest.

The criminal complaint notes the acts he committed were “injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of a child.”

Criscuolo started as substitute in The Bronx in 2002.

A big wildfire is raging about 10 miles north of where we live. It's moving away from us, but it's only 10% contained. High winds and excessively dry conditions are feeding it.

'Sweetest comeback': Twinkies to hit shelves July 15

Twinkies will return to store shelves by July 15, 2013, after its predecessor company went bankrupt after an acrimonious fight with unions last year. The brands have since been purchased by Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management. Hostess is betting on a sweet comeback for Twinkies when they return to shelves next month.

Another Wonder Winner from the Land of the World's Stupidest Criminals:

Police here are looking for a man, 18 - 20 years old, who robbed a Circle K convenience store, threatening the clerk with "violence."

The robber put on his ski mask after he entered the store. Security camera caught the "before" and "after" pictures, as well as distinguishing tattoos over both arms (he was wearing a tank top). rolleyes

A lot of people will be happy. I never cared for Twinkies or most of the Hostess products.

It's surprising how often this happens. I once saw a case where a defendant wore the same shirt and pants to trial that he was wearing in a surveillance photo, which he had argued was of someone else.

Another major source of laughs in our local paper is the Letters to the Editor column. Here's one that hints at the reward you might get if you save a life here:

EDITOR:

There is a God. Thank you to the kindhearted rescuer who risked his life to save mine on June 15, 2013, outside the entrance to the V.A. I don't intend to describe the event and face arrest.

He drove either a plumber's or a contractor's pick-up. I was too shaken to get his name or identification. If I had a name and an address I'd send him a ham. There ARE guardian angels out there, and I was lucky, on Saturday, to meet mine.

When you kill a cop or attempt to kill a cop 9 times out of 10 your gonna die before you get arrested and stand trial. The media stupidly played audio from the SWAT team and lead sergeant, and the lead sergeant is heard saying something along the lines of "Go ahead with plan A and burn that motherf***er alive" and then of course the reason it went up in flames was a tear gas canister catching the cabin on fire. Sure....
