Just another reminder for my WD buddies, AMC is repeated all seasons the next 3 days. OR for anyone who hasn't seen it but wants to see it from the beginning. It starts at 1:00 (at least here in CA) and season 1 will run twice today (had only 6 episodes). I'm sure I won't catch all of them, but I plan to watch a couple episodes at least. It's so long til October. rolleyes

They even showed the b&w version. I only watched the episode yesterday when Rick killed Shane.

I'm not watching ALL the episodes but have caught a few. I really think the episode where Laurie had the baby AND the episode where the Governor captured Glen are both excellent.

I'm gonna miss not seeing Andrea kick ass.....but then we do have Mishonne who is pretty damn good at slicing/dicing Walkers. lol

The b&w version was from the first season. I don't understand why they called it the WD preview weekend when they didn't show any. Or did I miss it?

I agree Mig. The host (Kevin Smith? who is kind of annoying IMHO) said that previews will be on July 19th (I believe).

Did you see Smith talk briefly with Mishonne, Darryl, Maggie?

Last season ended with Karl becoming pretty cold, shooting that one boy in the woods for no good reason.

I re-watched all of the last season and I enjoyed it very much. I just love that show. smile

Here's a trailer from season four. I'm reading that the Walkers will be more aggressive this year.

Wow looks like season 4 is gonna be very intense. Ya just by that clip the zombies do look more aggresive. And it seems that they are going to bring the show back towards the basic survivalsit theme which im happy about because the whole our group vs your group thing from last season was getting very old.

Plus, a lot of new faces (from Woodbury). I really am looking forward to it.

Btw, I'm pissed that it wasn't up for not even one emmy. I read WD was the #1 watched cable tv show last season. I watch quite a few cable series and this one, without a doubt is my favorite. smile

I don't watch Breaking Bad but have heard good things about it and that one was up for at least one emmy. Mad Men was as well, but IMHO, it lost a lot of its appeal last season. confused

Ya i dont watch mad men but my mom does and she said after the last couple of seasons at has really started to go down hill. I tried to watch a few episodes with her but i thought it was just kind of an odd show, it wasnt exactly funny and the whole pace and mood of the show was a off putting. Maybe it was just a bad episode i watched.

It IS a different type show. I guess that is what was appealing about it in the first place. I do think tho, it's the kind of show you either like or don't like.

Ya thats about what i got from it. But i do think they did an excellent job recreating the era. Between the clothes, the gender roles, and portraying their industry as it was back then was great. I wasnt alive back then but i think it was pretty spot on.

Absolutely Dellacroce. For me that is the big appeal. The 60's is my era and I can relate to not only news events/atmosphere of the era (ie starting with JFK assassination and knowing that RFK & MLK assassinations were coming up and later the 67 riots) to the Rolling Stone concert, pot smoking scene. Not to even mention fashion of the time.

I suppose we are on the wrong thread aren't we. Unless of course they have Don Draper turning into a Walker next season. lol

And, you weren't alive then? Why you youngster you. lol Damn, I'm old. uhwhat

FYI, I made another comment regarding Mad Men in the Mad Men thread. You might be interested how it was back in the "olden" days. wink

I like LZ too! Yes,one thing about that era is the GREAT music than came from it. smile

This is the most lengthy preview I've seen of season 4.

Note: Unless I missed it, I don't see the Governor in any of the scenes. confused
