I like the show but I didn't think they would have a season 2.

I read that it did very well in ratings and critics gave it good reviews.

As far as it continuing...well, we KNOW what happens to Norman in the end, so I'm thinking they can only carry the story line to a certain point (when he kills his mom?)without going into Psycho. He's in High School now so I suppose it could go on a few years. Then again, this is tv/movies, they can likely do what they want. LOL

did bates motel ever make it clear if Norman and the mom ever had sexual relations? that lady was a complete creep who helped make Norman crazy. did Norman's mom kill the dad for an insurance policy? I thought the brother was hot. I didn't get to see the whole season but the brother was pretty normal right?

Norman killed his father. Although Norman and Norma's relationship is skeevy they have not as yet done the full Darmody.

Ha ha ha A new term. The Full Darmody. Pretty clever Lilo. Once/twice I got a creepy feeling it was gonna go "THERE"

Btw, I read somewhere today, that Season two starts on Monday, March 10th.

I don't know how long the creators/network intend the show to run but imo it's actually more effective for the story if Norma and Norman never actually cross that line. But her immodesty in front of him, physical affection, and the reveal that she was molested by her own brother certainly point to her doing something with Norman. We shall see..

what was creepy was how unaffected the mom was after being raped by that creepy guy at the beginning of the season... I don't recall off the top of my head, but was Norman just kind of standing there watching?? And I'm sorry but any lady that dates a dirty cop like that pervert that was hiding the little Asian gal has issues... I am not saying she (the mom) likes being dominated but she was broken down at some point and finds that behavior acceptable. I personally would have wanted to kick the lousy cop bastard in the balls a few times simply for disvaluing women so greatly...

Thanks, I wasn't sure WHEN it would be back. I know I'm looking forward to it. I gotta say at the very beginning I wasn't sure about the young actor playing Norman but he is good. The actress playing his mom is excellent as well.

I keep seeing this preview all over TV, is this the second season or has this show been going on for a while? I'm strangely attracted to it since the Mr. Sandman song keeps being played every three commercials.

That preview is from the second season which starts, I believe, in March. The first season was short if I remember correctly. If you are interested it wouldn't take too long to catch up.

If you have a cable service that has "on demand" I'm guessing very soon you'll be able to see season one.

Btw, in case you didn't know, the story is about Norman Bates aka Psycho fame. It tells of his teenage years and I assume how he became the way he was.

I have it on "On Demand" and started RE-watching yesterday. Glad I did, I forgot some, and picked up on things I missed first time around. Season one is only 10 episodes. I have four more to go and w/b caught up. I'm sure I can catch up by Monday.

It was a good episode. Yea, Bradley probably will be coming back. Norman's brother quickly agreed to take her to the bus station didn't he? Then again, he KNOWS they'll kill her.

Man, the whole Bates family is a little weird no? And doesn't it figure that Norman's hobby would be taxidermy? Ha ha

Next week previews looked good too. Norma's brother (who she said earlier raped her) shows up.
