I'm not real good with math/numbers, but I'd say that mobsters from 20 years ago would be about 20 years older now.

Do you guys realise when gotti,gravano casso amuso and persico were running their families these guys were in their 40s look at the guys who are in their 40s today Chris paciello,lee dvanzo all of the tanglewood boys.AS bad as casso and gotti were they would look like carlo gambino compared to how these guys would run a family The Commission case resulted in the older, more competent bosses being put away and relatively younger guys like Gotti and Amuso taking over their families. Their lack of ability ended up hurting those organizations. It's one reason why the Genovese fared much better. They still had Chin, who didn't get picked up in the Commission case. It also brings up another point. The NY families have had the manpower to maintain their size, more or less, but that doesn't stop the attrition of quality.
Mods should mind their own business and leave poster's profile signatures alone.
