I just received my Homeowners Insurance renewal. I'm very happy to know that I'm now covered for Volcanic Eruption....in South Jersey.

I'm also covered for theft of firearms up to $2,500. I don't own any, but I do have a Martin guitar valued at $2,500.

Or the Guitar Bandito could break into my house and abscond with with my D-35. Then I might be forced to get a Gibson. whistle
BTW, Martin turned 40 this year.

My Gibson Les Paul recently turned 35 wink

I know SFTM hates them as much as I hate Fender, but I love them! tongue wink

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Yes I do hate Gibsons with a seething passion lol thats why all my guitars are Fenders, aside from the acoustic and my newest one. Hell even the bass I bought a few months ago is based on the P-Bass.

Let me ask you something... do you have big/wide hands?

The reason I "hate" fenders is because I've always been uncomfortable with the wide necks. Gibsons (and Ricks) have nice, narrow necks. I have long fingers, but girly hands compared to lumberjacks and such lol. So the narrower necks are easier for me to play, and more comfortable. It's not a "hate" thing, cuz Fender is world-class Rock. I just have a hard time playing them.

And I would assume the same would be true if some monster-hand tried to play a Les Paul or 12-string Rick (like Lennon's)... if it's uncomfortable or difficult -- of course it'll be "hated" wink

Fender Jazz or Precision bass? "Hate" them! lol Too wide for me. But gimme a Höfner (or knock-off) Paul McCartney bass, and I'm happier than a pig in chit.

Sweet! cool I don't know how I didn't notice already, Mig -- probably because the last 3 months have been totally exhausting -- but Dylan was born the same day as my twin niece/nephew (5 years apart)! Day before Halloween.

Nah i don't have the biggest hands in the world. Fenders just have more comfortable necks to me, they feel more balanced, and aren't nearly as over priced as Gibson. Not to mention the weight difference between them. The fenders i do perfer to play have a shorter scale than gibsons anyway, gibson being a 24.75" and the fenders i use being 24".

With the bass its funny because when one of my bassist friends heard that i got it, he was shocked i didn't get a short scale bass that was closer to a regular guitar's scale, instead getting one that has a 34" scale.

I was looking at the Living Supercentenarian page on Wiki and i noticed that there are two people who where born on exactly the same day and are both still alive which i though was quite fascinating. Notice how women live the longest..

A touching story from Italy. This loyal dog use to go to church every day with his owner. She recently died and upon hearing the church bells, "Ciccio" continues to go to church every day. The Priest doesn't have the heart to shoo him away. cry Isn't that sweet?

I don't doubt for a minute that some animals grieve, too, when a loved one dies.

I heard the dog gives one hell of a sermon.

As a very young boy I remember going to mass at the church that my dadattended when he was young. The priest's german shepherd casually strolled across the altar and lay down during the consecration. There was no reaction from the people as I found out this was a regular occurrence.

Before communion the priest leaned down to give the dog a good neck scratching.
