I think I have the worst case of the flu that I've ever had. I went to bed Wednesday night feeling ok, then I woke up Thursday morning and starting vomiting. I took a sick day yesterday. Today I feel worse, but I'm gonna give an attempt at working. I have no energy whatsoever, I'm constantly on the brink of spewing. I might make it to my first 15 minute break. frown

To update: My roommate and I still aren't talking. Last night she came in at midnight and started talking to her boyfriend on the phone. She thought I was still sleeping. I would have been, if she wouldn't have been the loudest person on Earth. Anyway, she called me a loser. It's really taking all my strength not to walk over there and punch her face in.

At the moment, we're having a Windows Media Player war. I'm winning. I'm playing all the music she hates - Johnny Cash, Metallica, The Darkness, Taking Back Sunday. She's got a minor problem, because theres no such thing as music I hate. Besides Country and Rap, and I can even tolerate those under certain circumstances. wink tongue AAHAH I just remembered she HATES Free Bird (who hates freebird? honestly?) I'm so playing it...

XDCX, I hope you feel better [Linked Image]

I went out for some Sunday goodies about an hour ago. The visibility (fog) is as bad as I've ever seen.... you cannot see more than 3 car lengths ahead. Its times like this that I'm glad I drive an old piece of doody.

Theres nothing more American than sitting in a diner on a saturday morning, eating pancakes, drinking coffee, and smoking cigarettes.

I find it a very beautiful image.

You can still smoke inside public places in Jersey?? Where else can you do this? I know Cali's not the only state where this is illegal...

Anyway, sorry to get off topic on the beautifully American scene. tongue

Also, change those pancakes to eggs.

Scrambled eggs with salt and pepper, black coffee, and a cigarette. There you go.

Defenitions for History: DON'T Delete!!!!

1. Critical Period; 1783-1789: The preiod in this nations time between the signing of the Treaty of Paris and George Washington’s inaguration in which the constitution was born and the first true united governement was formed. A chaotic and unsure time in our history, indeed.
2. Articles of Confederation: Document which created a confederation between the 13 U.S States and was written by John Dickinson. Though originaly establishing a strong govt., it was torn to shreds by oponents of a strong centeralized govt. and is now a laughing stock and a mere footnote in American History.
3. Land Ordinance of 1785: To gain money since the Govt. couldn’t tax states, it was decided to sell land uninhabited that they gained from the Brits to proprietors.
4. Northwest Ordinance of 1787:

5. Republicanisim: the idea of a nation being governed by an elected representative instead of a king.
6. Constitutional Convention of 1787: To replace the Articles of Confederation, a convention was held in Philadelphia to draft a written constitution which would improve upon the confederation’s weaknesses. James Madison, Gouvenor Morris and Judge Wilson were members of the conventions, and Madison is a atributed as “the father of the constitution”, while the others helped.
7. Thomas Jefferson: Virginia Statesman, and 3rd President of the United States. He was an American Envoy to Britan during the Critical Period and of course he was the writer of the decleration of independence. He also wrote the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom
8. John Adams: Lawyer, statesman, politician and 2nd president of the United Staes who was leader during the XYZ afair and followed Washington.
9. George Washinton: Leader of the Continental Army who was called upon by his people to preside over the constitutional convention and then he was appointed as the president of the United States.
10. Treaty of Alliance 1778: Treaty between United States and France in 1778 which insured military support from the French to the Americans for their revolution against Britain.
11. Great Compromise:

12. 3/5 Compromise: Compromise made by American Delegates in which a slave counts as only 3/5’s of a man when taking a census.

13. Federalist: Federalist: Statesmen and public figures supporting ratification of the proposed Constitution of the United States between 1787 and 1789. The Federalist Papers are documents associated with their movement.
14. Anti Federalist: People opposed to the constitution and it’s ratification.
15. Bill of Rights: The First ten Amendments to the United Stes constitution that outlines the given rights to the people of our nation.
16. Ratification: To ratify is to accept and to legalize something, much like the Constitution of the United Staes, which met much opposition.

Whats with the homework, Sully?

FWIW - I'm trying to reach one of my company's benefit providers and I've been "on hold" for 41 minutes! mad

I'm already cursing at the recorded voice telling me my call is important to them (and they appreciate my patience). BULLSHIT - if my call was important to them they would've answered it already. mad mad

That's the worst... the only thing more persistent and annoying than those voices on the phone is the voices in my head. tongue

No but seriously, being on hold is one of the most frustrating things ever-- for like an hour, all you can wonder is, "Did they forget? Should I call back? Is this really important enough to wait for? Where are they? Boy, I'm thirsty. Oh look, a piece of lint on my sweater." lol Whatever, thank God for the speaker button... at least you don't have to hold the phone to your ear for an hour.

XDC, hang in there! I know it's a pain in the ass, but think of what good it's doing you, especially in the long run. Totally worth the time and effort... but still, I hope the next 4 weeks go by quickly for you. Does it hurt a lot? Have you guys been getting humid or rainy weather out there? That makes a big difference, in a bad way. ohwell Anyway, I hope it all goes by fast, with as little pain and annoyance as possible. Keep us posted!

Our weather has been pretty whacked as of late. Half the week, our high's will be 50, then come the weekend, it'll get up to 80º. The cold (and rain) tends to bother my wrist tremendously, but its nothing I'm not used to (I broke my leg when I was three, so rainy and cold weather has always caused pain).

I know the therapy is doing me a lot of good, and my therapists are great, but Jesus, when I'm done, it will have been 8 weeks. Not to mention I gotta go back to the doctor in a month for another evaluation, in which he'll most likely prescribe another month's worth of therapy. My therapist already told me that my wrist will never be 100% again, to expect at least 80% strength and mobility, and nothing more. Those words just push me harder to prove them wrong. I put heat on my wrist in the morning, before work, I stretch, then when I get off work, I stretch, then ice it down. It's an easy routine, but really painful.

To give you guys an idea on my range of motion, I can only bend my wrist down 30º, and I can only bend it back 60º. Good news is my thumb is back to 100%.

...but still...FOUR MORE WEEKS! mad
