I had a meeting in downtime Manhattan today, and went to see Ground Zero for the first time. Unbelievable sight. frown

I wish I had brought my camera; I'll have to go back. Ground Zero is a site everyone needs to visit.

Then I ended up walking the 4 miles back to Port Authority, which was nice smile -- except for the shoes I had on that gave me 2 blisters on each foot. mad

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Wow, JG. I bet it was quite an experience. I'd like to see your pictures if you ever go back.

4 miles though?! That sounds nice. Unless it was hot out. Ugh.

JG, I agree with you, it is an unbelievable sight, isn't it? What always amazes me is how quiet it is, very hushed. Especially for New York City.

Yes, unbelievable is a good description. If you have the opportunity again, take the Path train into the WTC station. You are riding in the perimeter of the "pit", exposed to Ground Zero, six stories below ground level. The first time I did it I was a bit shaken. I felt that I shouldn't be there.

I used to be a huge fan of Depeche Mode when I was younger, and then slowly my music tastes changed. I ended up not listening to any of their cds for like 10 years, and I just got them all out yesterday, and man, are they great.

Kind of ironic because their newly released album is getting a lot of critical praise as well right now.

Those pictures are huge.

Its been snowing here since last night. We haven't gotten THAT much.. but it hasn't stopped snowing. I'd say about 3 inches or so.. but since its so cold, I refuse to go outside. (or class, for that matter tongue )

The power went out this morning, so I can use that as my excuse for not going to Geography (8:30am class).. I'll say my alarm didn't go off.

And everryyonnee skips Sociology.. and I've gone everytime. So I don't feel too guilty.

My favorite food of all time is California Pizza Kitchen's Barbeque Chicken Pizza . Fantastic.

Other favorites include...

Pancakes, no butter, lots of syrup, strawberries and bananas if available

Cold Cereal (My current favorite is probably Honey Nut Chex, but back in the day, maybe 5 years ago, they used to have mini-wheats with different kinds of fruit filling, they were amazing, I long for the day when I can find them again)

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, Spirals is the best kind

I loooooove California Pizza Kitchen. Although for a serious pizza, I have other places I go, but CPK is good for the non-traditional stuff. Their Thai Chicken Pizza is awesome, it's my favorite. The Santa Fe Chicken Pizza is great too. Now I'm hungry again, and I just ate!! lol

I just had their Jamaican Jerk Chicken or something like that for the first time, pretty good. They throw so much stuff on their pizza's, like 10 different ingredients, still good though.

Yeah, the millions of toppings and different sauces are what make it great. I haven't tried the Jamaican one yet. Is it really spicy, or more sweet?

not really spicy, but more so then it is sweet

The 5 cheese and tomato actually has a sort sweet little tang to it, kind of strange.

It kind of sucks, because I have to get all mine from the freezer at the grocery store. The only real California Pizza Kitchens I see are in airports. rolleyes

Oh man, really? You have to have it fresh one day. They have restaurants everywhere though, so I'm sure there's one near you. We have like a million of them in the L.A. area, but there are like 6 or 7 in the NY/NJ area. You should go... let me know if it's any different, and what you think.
