Fox released it's planned '14 slate, w/ some '13 dates too.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS sequel = 7/14/14
Steven Spielberg's ROBOPOCALYPSE = 4/25/14
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES = 5/23/14

Ben Stiller's THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY = 12/25/13
WALKING WITH DINOSAURS = 12/20/13

A 3-D re-release of INDEPENDENCE DAY will come out July 3, 2013. Yes, it'll be known forever online as ID43D.

Isn't that interesting that same month, a 3-D reissue of JURASSIC PARK comes out too? Pure nirvana for 90s kids.

Welcome to Earth!

Does anyone remember the tv show, "Quantum Leap" with Scott Bakula? I use to watch it all the time but it's been years.

A cable channel is running some episodes and I'm actually enjoying. Currently, Sam leaps back to 1965 and finds himself as a white boy with a Black girlfriend, just before L.A. riots. uhwhat (btw, great Motown music added as a backdrop).

A couple weeks ago, Sam finds himself as Marylin Monroe's bodyguard just before she committed suicide.

Anyway, it's nice to see it again. I forgot I much I liked the show.

I remember the show and its premise, but don't believe I ever watched it. It must have been on in the mid-80s becausee while I was in college, I worked late afternoons and evenings and didn't watch much television then

I really liked that show, from the premise to the show's "rules" to the great comedy chemistry between Bakula and Stockwell.

The only thing I didn't like was those celebrity-centric episodes. They're gimmicky and ultimately nothing changes, which sorta negates the whole program's concept of "putting things right what once went wrong."

I mean this show is ficiton. Why not play around with the what ifs that we have always wondered. What if JFK wasn't assassinated? What if Monroe didn't overdose? I mean while you're playing weekly by the idea of rewriting history, have some fun with it.

Anyway, I'm surprised this was never remade (I'm sorry, "updated") on Television or even as a movie.

VH1 is airing "Beach Boys - An American Family". Believe it or not I have never seen the movie. Can't say I know any of the cast expect, the lady playing their mother is the mother from "The Wonder Years."

Anyway, just started. I didn't realize their father was such a tyrant. Nice hearing some old music from that era. smile I remember how popular that "California" sound they started got to be. smile

Brad Pitt's zombie epic WORLD WAR Z is now currently undergoing 7 weeks of reshoots. 7 weeks?!? That's time enough to make a whole other movie. And we thought G.I. JOE 2 had some problems.

Anyone else watch Mad Men or The Killing? Both on AMC one after the other on Sunday nights. I swear the seasons for these cable shows are so short. It seems both just returned and now they are on their last 2 (or 3) episodes before they disappear for months on end. rolleyes Don't know why I continue to watch. Ok, I do, they are both good just very short seasons.

Well, think about it TIS. Can you believe it's been 5 years since the Sopranos last episode? Time flies.

Oli,

I know the time flies by doesn't it. I remember the last Episode of The Sopranos like it was yesterday. The BB was lit up with discussion. That show more than any other really enlivened this site. Loved it. smile

PB,

I have heard of this dog walking show. For God's sake, you can make a reality show about anything. What's sad though, is this really appealing to people? What happen to watching tv for entertainment and pretend stories NOT watching somebody walk a dog. rolleyes

LOL Oli, why the hell not? I mean it's a bit more interesting than a frickin' dog walker. lol We could contribute interesting discussions. Ok, and maybe not so interesting discussions; of course fights/bickering; name calling, etc. Then we can show how the mods intervene. See how interesting that would be? wink Viewers would be all wrapped up in GFBB drama no?

Better yet, a sitcom. We could decide on actors to play the various members. For example, I picture Eric Stoltz playing Geoff, JT Walsh as SC, Ronny Cox or maybe Donald Moffat as Turnbull, and to play Plaw up in heaven watching over us, we'd have to get Frank Vincent! lol Christine Baranski or Stockard Channing would be me and Joan Cusack would be TIS.

Did you know POLTERGEIST came out 30 years ago today? (June 4, 1982.) I've talked earlier about the legendary summer of 1982, and POLTERGEIST was one of the memorable ones from that season.

A pretty good Steven Spielbeg movie.

I'm sorry, I mean a pretty good Tobe Hopper-is-credited-as-director-despite-testimonies-that-say-otherwise movie.

It's ok, the secret is still safe.

I love that movie. We had just gotten cable tv and had HBO. (I never saw it in the theater). My whole family liked it. ALL of us had certain dialogue memorized ("only when I say so, only when I say" or "This house is clean" as said by "the Magic Munchkin(As Mr. Freeling (Craig T. Nelson's character called her.) lol Fun movie to watch even today IMHO.

They might be, but reality TV shows are incredibly cheap to produce and that high ad rates-profit-to-budget ratio is why reality TV is loved by Hollywood.

I don't understand why people think that Johnny Depp is attractive. I think he looks like a 14 year old girl who got some bad eyeliner advice.

I have a friend who's 49. She thinks Depp is a dream.

I've always been somewhat mystified by the seemingly wide variances among women when it comes to judging a man's attractiveness. Any clues?

I think this is kinda messed up. Ron Howard and Henry Winkler are both worth about a bazillion bucks. Can't they help Shortcake out a little? whistle

'Happy Days' actress Erin Moran living in trailer park

By DAVID K. LI, New York Post

These are not “Happy Days” for Joanie Cunningham actress Erin Moran.

She’s broke, living in an Indiana trailer park and looking haggard well beyond her 51 years, according to the National Enquirer.

Moran and husband Steve Fleischmann, 45, are reportedly living hand-to-mouth at the Berkshire Pointe Mobile Home Park in New Salisbury, Ind., where they’re said to be caring for his ailing mom.

It’s a long fall for the actress, best known as Ron Howard’s wisecracking little sister on one of America’s most beloved sitcoms.

She appeared in 236 episodes of “Happy Days” between 1974 and 1984 before doing her short-lived spin-off “Joanie Loves Chachi.”

The couple lost their Southern California home to foreclosure in 2010.

“Life hasn’t been kind to Erin since the foreclosure of her home,” a family friend said.

Despite these tough times, pals admire Moran’s dedication to her sick mother-in-law.

“She and Steve moved in with his ailing mother at the trailer park a few weeks back. Erin is like an angel to her mother-in-law. She cooks and cleans for her and takes care of her personal hygiene,” the family pal observed.

“But to look at Erin today you’d never know she was once one of TV’s biggest stars. Her peaches-and-cream complexion is a maze of wrinkles and crow’s feet. She’s aged terribly.”

While Moran cares for her mother-in-law, Fleischmann reportedly brings home the bacon with a meager Walmart job.
