I haven't watched the show in years, but Amber is a good actress. She was Joan, the girl who spoke to God, in "Joan of Arcadia", which also starred John Ritter's son, if I'm not mistaken.

She sure doesn't dance like her dad, though! He was also in "The Haunting" one of the scariest movies of that era.

Hawaii 5 Oh starts again here next weekend. Have to say after loving the first 2 series, the last one was fairly poor. Hope to see it improve, but of course the kids love it.

Don't forget that the Golden Globes are on tonight. They're my favorite awards show, as the presenters and winners are usually drunk. Also, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are hosting, which should be great.

How is it possible that Robin Wright still looks so incredible. She's still as beautiful as she was in The Princess Bride. And I loved Jennifer Lawrence's gown. BTW, was it my imagination or was Jacqueline Bissett drunk as hell???

Don't know if she was drunk but she sure was slow. LOL. She did seem lost. lol

Saw most of show between talking on the phone. I hadn't seen any of the movies so can't really comment. Glad to see Leo finally win something. Jennifer's gown was beautiful.

Watching True Detective now on HBO.

So Afs, did you watch it? Not bad but I'm kind of confused already. lol The McConohay with the long scraggly hair is the flashback and he's a cop then giving info on the older case right? Threw me at first. I thought he was the criminal. Ha ha. Goes to show looks can be deceiving.

Very moody type drama and I sense it'll be pretty gruesome.

Yeah, finally got to watch it. I guess the story was about a recent murder that looked like the one those two detectives had solved back in 1995 and that's why they were being questioned. I think this McConohay character was trying too hard to seem intelligent, and they'd tried to make him look like Sherlock or something. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that awesome that I had expected either. lol

Anyone watch the return of The Blacklist last night? I love James Spader in this role. Damn, he plays evil so wonderfully well, you want to run screaming and hug him all at the same time.

So upset about Newsroom. However, at least we'll get that one last season. Considering how the last one ended, I was afraid they ight think that they tied up many loose ends (especially with Will and Mac) and that was going to be that.

You must watch Blacklist, TIS. It's definitely Spader's best episode ever, probably the best episode of the series to date.

This probably has been raised before as it is fairly obvious, but what is the deal with Quentin Tarantino's foot fetish? I don't watch too many movies, but the topic of foot rubs appeared in Pulp Fiction and Grindhouse, and in the latter film there was a creepy scene where Kurt Russell approaches a sleeping Rosario dawson's bare feet dangling from a parked car. In Dusk to dawn there is another scene where tarantino himself sucks on salma Hayek's toes as she pours booze down her leg.

The scenes seemed gratuitous and seemingly reflect a fetish.

QT has a huge foot fetish. Besides the films you mentioned there was Bridget Fonda's foot in Jackie Brown and Uma Thurman's foot in one or both of the Kill Bill movies.....among others.

Here check this YouTube vid out.

At the end of some Frasier episodes, along with the credits they show a series of black and white photos of movie stars and other entertainers. Do any Board members know why they show them?

Those are shown on the season-ending episodes. They show the "big" actors/actresses who have appeared on the show during that season (sometimes only appearing as call-in voices).

Cool. I wondered if it was something like that. However, I couldn't remember seeing any of them on the show. I didn't know they called in.

Hey, starting tomorrow, AMC is going to show this movie that I heard is pretty good. It's titled The Godfather. Any of you heard of it?

Anyone watching "The Black List?" I was kind of losing interest but last week's episode was quite intriguing right from the first scene. Evidently a criminal's MO was drugging people, making them over (ie dying their hair, dressing them, giving new IDs, etc).

Last week's episode started with a man & woman on an airplane "sleeping." They both wake up, wondering If they are on an airplane, how they got there, why they are dressed as they are, and have new IDs.

Suddenly a man comes out of cockpit with parachute gear and they ask, who are you? He says, "I'm your pilot" and proceeds to jump out of the plane. lol That caught my interest. Probably my favorite of all the episodes. Anyone else catch it?
