I did. I haven't watched a WrestleMania live since maybe WM18 or 19. Yeah, PRETTY disappointing last night. No real "WrestleMania moment." Plus it was so predictable.

Click to reveal..

The only 2 surprised for me last night was Jack Swagger winning the Money in the Bank and Edge actually losing to Chris Jericho. Everything else was TOTALLY predictable such as Batista losing to Cena, Michaels losing to the Undertaker, Mis/Show retaining, etc.

Some random thoughts on the current goings-on of the WWE:

--The Bret Hart/Vince McMahon storyline was pretty awkward throughout, but it was so freakin' cool to see Bret back on WWE television. The story led up to a match at WrestleMania that was truly difficult to watch. Honestly, I think WWE should have stuck with their initial idea and just had Bret Hart be in John Cena's corner during his matchup with Batista )with Vinnie Mac in Batista's corner). As it happens, Bret took part in a "match" that may have tainted his reputation as "the best there is...etc." Nobody expected Bret to put on a wrestling clinic, but the beatdown was so dramatic and over the top, it bordered on absurd. And with no blood, it just didn't work. Bret applying the Sharpshooter at the end was awesome though!

-- Jack Swagger as World Heavyweight Champ is causing my brain to short circuit. Seriously, WTF?! It is almost as bad as Sheamus being WWE Champ. I also think it would have been better to have Swagger go over on John Cena, but only because I'm a huge mark for Chris Jericho.

--In much sadder news, I just heard that Chris Kanyon passed away at the age of 40. RIP frown It looks to be a possible suicide. http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/12867/

Openly Gay Former Wrestler Dies at 40 in Apparent Suicide

Chris Kanyon's body was found Saturday at his apartment in New York after apparently overdosing on pills.

Former WCW and WWE tag team champion Chris Kanyon has died.

The popular 40-year-old wrestler, real name Christopher Klucsaritis, is believed to have committed suicide.

His body was found Saturday at his apartment in New York.

Kanyon had overdosed on medication, with early reports indicating he had taken his own life after leaving a pill bottle and several notes close by.

The gay star suffered from bipolar disorder and had previously spoken about killing himself.

Jason Powell, of prowrestling.net, said: "Kanyon has battled severe depression issues over the years.

"He told one friend as recently as Monday that he was having problems and was contemplating suicide.

"The friend is said to have contacted one of Kanyon's family members to express his concern — despite the fact that he and several of Kanyon's friends have heard similar statements over the years.

"One friend said this morning that he's expected this type of news for years, yet it was still surprising and clearly painful for this person."

Kanyon was best known for his time in WCW in the late 90s, moving to WWE in the Invasion angle after Ted Turner's company folded.

He admitted he was gay after leaving WWE in 2004 with the idea of using his homosexuality in a wrestling angle, although neither Vince McMahon's company nor rivals TNA would hire him in that role.

The star began his WCW career as a jobber, being given a construction worker gimmick.

He was then placed under a mask and renamed Mortis, portraying a character similar to Reptile and Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat series of computer games.

Kanyon then had a spell in the Flock alongside Raven before becoming affiliated on screen with Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow in a stable called The Jersey Triad.

During his stint he used the nicknames Postively Kanyon and Chris 'Champagne' Kanyon, but was little more than a sporadically used midcarder. He also worked on the WCW-produced movie "Ready to Rumble" as stunt co-ordinator.

When WCW was purchased by McMahon, Kanyon's contract was assumed by WWE and he became part of the Alliance Invasion team, enjoying a brief stint as United States champion and with the tag belts alongside Page.

In late 2001, he tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee and his career took a downturn.

Found these on a certain wrestling board and wanted to share it here:

You know you're watching too much pro wrestling when...

You see someone lying down on the beach or a couch and you get the urge to drop an elbow on them.

You suddenly cut a promo on a co-worker or friend for no other reason than shock value.

You are at a party with friends and get the urge to make a heel turn and tell them what their flaws are and how you're much superior than them.

You often lie about things, but you call it kayfabe.

You have fantasies about blading on the the job to take a few days off.

You have a minor accident at work, like bump your knee, it doesn't hurt much, but you sell the injury for weeks.

You are at a party and you wanna take the DJ's microphone and do a entrance.

You get people to yell your name and weight before entering a room.

Every time you fold a chair and have a urge to hit someone with it.

When someone turns the back you feel like superkicking them when they turn back around.

When walking into a room and doing the Bret Hart pose.

When you feel like just yelling "WOOOOOOOO!" for no reason.

When some one is talking you start yelling WHAT in between there words or sentences.

You're drinking a bottle of water, and you suddenly feel the urge to spray it out of your mouth and pose.

When you see a table and think about putting somebody through it.

You go to the beach and instead of just taking your t-shirt off, you get the urge to tear it off from the neck down.

When see somebody laying down and feel like climbing something high and do superfly taunt and splash.

When you walk into a dark room and you roll your eyes into the back of your head and lift your arms up.

When your boss walks out of his office and you start singing NO CHANCE IN HELL.

When any time you think hear the name Andy Kauffman the only thing you think about his career is him vs Jerry Lawler.

When you start chanting three random letters for no reason:
TNA TNA TNA TNA TNA TNA TNA TNA

When you pick up a pillow and suddenly get the urge to Chokeslam it.

You go to a party and everyone is talking, you yell at some random guy "LET'S GET READY TO SUCK IT!"

Your best friend walks up to you but you suddenly throw them throw a glass window nearby.

When you look in your local hardware store you pick out a steel chair and hit some staff guy with it.

You steal a million dollars just so you can attack the police like Stone Cold Steve Austin.

You go into your bosses office and you swear at him.He stands up and you RKO him through the desk.

You buy a can of white spray paint to look like Sheamus.

When the only reason you watch Spider man was because Randy Savage was in it.

I think the Nexus angle is the greatest thing the WWE has done in quite some time. It has been a long time since I've been excited to watch RAW. Now I look forward to Monday nights.

Also...I think this is the PERFECT time for the much rumored Cena heel turn. How awesome would it be for Cena to turn on Team WWE and join the Nexus? It would be huge, IMO.

I know that I may have to eat my own words at a later date but I can almost guarantee that Cena will not be turning Heel anytime soon. John Cena IS the WWE right now (Though some of us may have a hard time admitting it) and if he turned heel the WWE would be giving up their top money maker, in terms of merchandise and drawing power.

Yeah Cena right now makes way way way too much money for the WWE's merchandise catalogue for them to turn him in terms of business. Sad but true, I mean this was why Hulk Hogan got turned in 1996, which you could argue was 2 years overdue by then.

Speaking of which, how about The Miz? Looks they're prepping him up for a top title run in a few months. Awesome I say.

Especially loved their book on monday night, teasing him as the possible 7th man this sunday. Unfortunately I have a gut feeling what this will transpire: After much teasing, Miz doesn't join Team RAW.

However a certain returning Son in Law will return at SummerSlam and be that 7th Man. And then he turns on everybody, going back to his (superior) heelish ways.

I agree that Cena is the WWEs top money maker, and that there is no way he'll be getting his heel turn any time soon. The thing is, though, he REALLY needs SOME sort of character change. His character has been getting stale for years now, and he isn't exactly winning back the fans that have already turned on him (i.e. ME!!!).

RRA, I heard that HHH is still recovering from an injury, and won't be ready to return for SummerSlam. Maybe in a non-wrestling capacity?

BTW guys, what are your thoughts on Sheamus?

I'm not digging the Nexus angle at all. I'm pretty tired of hearing about them already. Cena turning heel would be a stupid idea too. The only thing keeping me exciting in pro wrestling today (besides seeing Bret Hart in the WWE) is EV 2.0 on TNA!

remember when Vince Russo called the original ECW not so nice things in the past? Now compare those comments to now in TNA.

Loved ECW, I miss it, but guys its DEAD. Dead as Fried chicken, Dead as Disco, Dead as General Franco.

Yea, you ain't kidding. Its shit like this that has made me lose my faith in the WWE creative team. Its as if they troll the internet and get a general consensus on what the fans want to see happen, and then do the exact opposite. Instead of keeping the show exciting and unpredictable, its just stupid and unpredictable.

Shame, because the rest of the show wasn't that bad. They blew the finish though. Nexus definitely should have went over.

There's been a couple of more young wrestler deaths this month. "Lance Cade" died 2 weeks ago at age 29, and Luna Vachon dies this week at age 48.
