I have to say, aside from the hot dogs and the matzoh ball soup, deli doesn't really do it for me. Oh, and the rye bread is incredible, of course!! But I'm not into corned beef or pastrami, so that stuff holds no charm for me.

I frequently go by a kosher deli, Abe's Deli, and this time of year I always get a chuckle from their big sign "Lenten Specials." Then again, a Italian Restaurant down the street is decorated with shamrocks and leprechauns, advertising ham and cabbage on the day of the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Babe, I know that you love steak / prime rib. Perhaps you should, if you haven't done so already, try BrisKet of Beef on club with brown gravy on the side. My absolute favorite deli sandwich! I also love hungarian goulash over egg noodles.

Brisket is OK, but still not something I'm crazy about. I do love the chopped liver and potato pancakes, though. YUM!!

Another one of my favorite jewish deli dishes is Kiske... aka... Stuffed Derma, smothered in brown gravy. Delicious!

I've heard about this place from several people over the last few years. I was planning to go there a couple of years ago when I had planned to go to Montreal, but the trip had to be cancelled. I'll get there some time.
