How about 9? That'd already probably take 4 hours... lol

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I've only had 2 Eagle putts in my entire life, and turned them both into Pars. I've almost gotten a hole-in-1 on a Par 3 several times, but close doesn't count. I had one great hole yesterday. A 427yd Par 4. I nailed my drive 320+ yards right to the 100 yard marker. I made a decent pitch onto the green, to about 25' from the hole, and nailed the putt for a Birdie.

It feels the same way as us shooting a 93 without a triple bogey. lol The short game kills me too Lou. I can drive OK, short irons good, putting good. Long irons and around the green sick

SC, I applaud your almost free week. It's so hard to actually do what you intend when playing golf.

My one big brag is back to back eagles. I was playing on a dog patch, burned out, rock hard course in Pennsylvania. It was the town tournament and my wife's uncle was the mayor. All the nephews and cousins played. It was a beerfest with golf on the side. After about 12 holes I was fairly oiled up. We come to short par 5...maybe 450 yds. I hit a decent drive and it just runs on the dried out fairway. My approach shot goes in a bunker, front of the green. Out of the sand, in the hole, eagle. Next hole, another par 5, going back up the hill. Same thing, good drive and it runs, good approach shot. I'm on a green side hill and I chip it in. Shot a 78 on a par 70 course and didn't win a f'n' thing. Those old Italians and Irishmen didn't want to acknowledge that a Kraut had back to back eagles....but my group knew. Never duplicated, and likely never will.

Hole-in-one's are easy to come close too, but actually getting the ball into the hole is another story. I've hit the flag a couple of times, and gotten the ball within inches a few others.

When I get chance later, I'll check Foundry Music and Wackbag. I would think one of them has a link to it.

C'mon east. Leave the Mrs. at home.... you'll get oiled up with me and Geoff and shoot the best round of your life.

I played a few Chicagoland courses (back when I was married to my first wife - she was from the Chicago suburbs). I played a few rounds with her cousin, and man-oh-man, it was a wonder we could walk by the end of the 18 holes. We'd play a hole, have a beer, play a hole, have a beer.... lol

I've hit the pin once (but the ball bounced off to about 10 feet away) and have never been closer than about three feet. My brother has made three or four holes-in-one.

The elusive ace. I've come within inches 3 times, back when I played better, so now it will be luck. Probably one that will bounce off the Goodyear blimp.

My cousin has two on the same hole. 100 yards, up hill, severly sloped green. You can only see the top quarter of the flagstick. One of the aces he drilled into the hill and it hopped up on the green. Unfortunately on that hole you can't see them go in. frown

Pretty close for day one. Come on you wannabees!

BTW, I played 9 holes today. First hole, par, second hole, 275 drive, on the green in two, birdie......and the rest is....my usual double, triple, par, bogey, triple......

MC... I think I diagnosed your problem. You have to find more two-hole courses to play on.

I played 18 yesterday, and it was ugly. No birdies, a couple of pars, and the rest a bunch of crap. I also lost a 1/2 dozen balls. ohwell

That's what happens when you hit the ball long.....long and wrong. Don't feel bad, even Tiger and Phil hit them in the rough. They don't lose balls because they ricochet off the gallery's noggins and they have hundreds of people there to find their balls.

It's only the second time I played this year, so I shouldn't expect much. I also went back to my old irons, and sold my Taylor Made irons that I bought last year. I'm a work in progress right now.
