Just started reading the novel. Its been about 34 years since I first read it when it came out. Theres a part where at the wedding theres four men gathered around a wine barrel waiting to see the don. One of the mens' name was Anthony Coppola! What a coincidence? or is it? Any information on when Coppola and Puzo first met?
I love my Chrysler and tuna fish sandwiches.

Harlan Lebo's book, "The Godfather Legacy," gives no indication that they ever met before Coppola was assigned by Paramount to direct the film. Since Puzo finished the book well before that time, the Coppola we read about in the novel is probably a coincidence.

Hey TB, thanks for info on Iglenook. I used to drink that stuff. So that's where it went.
Johnny O, I guess you're older than me, unless you read GF when you were a tyke. Ironically, I just bought the GF 30th Anniversary Edition pocketbook at lunchtime. I don't think there is anything special about it, no pictures or anything. But like you I read it 32 years ago and with all the talk on this site about the book, I figured it was time to re-read.
