Anthony, you may be encountering problems with Barnes & Noble because they sell books that are currently in print, and GF novel may not be in print now. However, I STRONGLY recommend that you go to abebooks.com and cruise them for a used copy. In fact, here are the first three, of many, entries for The Godfather. I've purchased several books from their sellers, and they've always been reliable:

I think we are the only ones here. I have searched internet and found a lot of different covers. Really, I think there are around 25 (or more) different ones.

I came across what i think is a "rare" copy of the Godfather..it has a dark pink cover(paperback)a image of Marlon Brando and has 32 pages of pictures from the film. I bought it at a used book store for 75 cents and it is in awesome shape, no creases, no bent corners, the spine isn't even broken in yet!!!Pristine Condition...can anybody tell me if this is a valuable book???????

I have two books. One book I had since 1976 is red with white letters. Brando's Vito is on the cover and it read "now a major motion picture'. it has about 16 pages of the godfather movie in the center. The book cost a whopping $1.95!

i also have the same book, in the same size but it hardcover.

Send the car for me too, mama

Mine is a plain white background with the title in black and 'Mario Puzo' in grey. It was published in the UK in 1970. No puppet strings, no 'Godfather' font, nothing. Do all the American versions have that stuff?

Yeah, U.S. glams it all up

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.
