If Tony had NOT killed Manolo, and he had lived, do you think that Manny would have had the influence to get Tony out of there before Sosa's hit squad arrived? Do you think that Tony would have even gotten as "coked" up as he did? After all it is obvious that Tony coked himself up so badly as a result of what he just did to Manny.
So if he had not killed Manny, would he have gotten that coked up? Could Manny have gotten him out of there? What do you think?

I think that they would've had a better chance of surviving, has i think Tony wouldn't have been coked up if Manny was there,it was cause of manny's death and his sisters death that he got so coked up.They would have thought of something together and got the hell out of there.

One thing i can never understand is that why wasn't there any other guards there was probley only 4/5 guards on the premesis.Compared to sosa's 100+ men

He was already coked up before his sister died

I think the chances would be the same if not worse if Manolo was still alive.
remember that he was the last one to care about security...

I think it would have helped a little. i dont think manny would have been able to get him out of the mansion b4 sosa's hit squad came because tony is too arogant and is already pissed at sosa because of the phone call he recieved earlier.
but tony would have been more prepared for the attack. sosa would still have gotten through due to the fact that tony had hardly any gaurds. but maybe him and manny would have been at the top of the balcony and the might have been able to kill all of the hit squad but i doubt it.

I believe that the "Great Assassin" just signifies that you can't escape your fate. He would have killed Manny and Tony.

I strongly disagree with that interpretation for several reasons. I do understand your viewpoint and how you can come to the conclusion that they would have both died(inthe clutches of Sosa's hitman) but this is what I have to say.

At the end of Scarface Tony using his m16a1-m203 takes out numerous foes despite his high. Tony's weapon a high powered gun with a good fire rate and its M203 gas attachment could have easily crushed Sosa's men with their 9mm subs. Tony is not kiled by then but by Sosa's hitman who kills Tony with a 12 gauge would have not been had an effective stealthly engagment having Manny been alive.Manny would have not let Tony consume the drugs and would have also been to assistance to him. As you recall without Manny Tony would have been killed by hector at the begining of the movie. Most people have underestimated Manny through out the movie but do not recall how he is valuable in both of their freedom from freedom town and the saving of Tony's life. Even so the main point is this: If Manny is alive, Tony's guys stay alive and it would have been a movie with a one sided gun fight. Eventually Sosa would have come to kill them because of his connections, but I do not think the movie would have ended with both of them being killed in the clutches of the hitman, in Tony's mansion, having been Manny was alive.
